That hairstyle only looks good because your AuRa scales are removed, haha. Makes a huge physical difference in beauty. Anyways, yes, the hairstyle is nice but a 1% chance it will be in the game.
I support this and more hair options/character customization options in general.
I don't know, this is my first time seeing an AuRa with no scales and Miqo ears... looks quite a bit nicer than in game AuRa, but I might be biased.
I'm not talking about keeping Miqo'te ears or removing scales etc... just having the opportunity to get that haircut for the girls.
It pains my heart to admit this, but the likelihood of that hairstyle being added is just like I said above. 1% or less. Square Enix hasn’t completed ANY hairstyle requests in years. They still have yet to give us Lyse’s hairstyle. This thread could have 100 Likes and be up for years. SE still wouldn’t do it.
They just don’t seem to think that customization/hairstyles is a priority. At all. Anyone telling you otherwise is just being way too optimistic. I’m sorry, but it just won’t happen. :(
That hairstyle seems to be pretty Miqo'te specific. The Miqo-ears accentuate it, so I don't see it really working with the other races. They could still do it, but it just wouldn't look as good.
You need to learn the difference between your opinion (which may or may not be shared by others) and the truth or facts that cant be denied... some people not liking the scales doesnt make it a general truth that Au Ra look better with out them, since that is enterly subjective and a matter of taste. Presenting it (or any opinion for that matter) like a fact is simply wrong.
Too much racism in this thread. I feel attacked!
Whoa! This is coming from someone petitioning for likes in the more recent hempen gear unlock thread in an attempt to get the devs to lift the race restrictions, started by you iirc.
Did you by any chance also come to the acceptance that particular unlock has around the same % chance of actually happening as this hairstyle?
This would likely come out IF they added more race specific hairstyles. It wouldn't really work all that well on Elezen and Au Ra because their ears/horns would just clip through and people would complain about it.
Look no further than when the bun hairstyle cam out with Miqo'te having the buns be where human ears sit. (future Veira please look forward to it!)
I've heard there's also a mod to add scales, so that doesn't prove anything beyond some people's individual opinions.
I've done the closest in-game equivalent with my Au Ra, using face paint to add more texture that looks like scales across his forehead (not available by default on that face design).
Yes, he'd make an equally good-looking human, but then I probably wouldn't have created him in the first place because it's the "half-dragon" concept that made it interesting to me. I like that combination of human face and non-human scales and horns.
I also think the male proportions would look odd on a "modified into human" character, but fine as part of their current "slightly monstrous" design.
Oh geez, so argumentative. And over something so silly, haha. I will not apologize for how I feel about scales, sorry. They just look bad. If that offends you or causes you mental discomfort, not sure what to say! Anyways, that’s why I’m a Midlander Hyur, no distracting disproportionate features like scales or tails. Viera’s are different though. They are pretty much Hyurs with bunny ears. :P
I didnt ask for an apology, I couldnt care less what you personally feel or think about scales or why you picked the character you did. Confusing "opinion" with "facts" or "the truth" is merely a dangerous thing to do in general. Something, one should never do, regardless of the topic - and something that sadly is done far to frequently in our society today.
And yes, maybe it is silly to apply it to something so meaningless like "scales or no scales" in a videogame. Maybe its silly to have certain principles like "it matters how language is being used". Missinformation can happen so quickly anyways... and in my personal opinion the ability to tell opinion from truth/facts and present it as such is a such an important skill that everyone should have and make use of. Regardless if it is over something silly or something really important.
Au ra without scales is uncanny valley to me
sure it looks ok in OP pic due to the camera work
but in normal game play they look freaky as hell
