Doubt it. They are probably scared of receiving development requests, lol.
They probably do on their private accounts. Provided they aren't heartily sick of the game from working on it. I don't think I've heard of anyone but Yoshi-P advertising it though. Well. Except Yoko Taro now that he's collaborating. The man's been tweeting his adventures in Eorzea for awhile.
Edit:
Found his tweet about Qarn.

Yoshi-p doesn't speak English right? And I'm pretty sure most of the dev team don't either, so I can't see them playing anything NA side, at least not in the "I'm here, AMA" capacity that he does on the JP servers
What i wonder, dont you need english for software stuff and coding...?
You do and Yoshi and his team know enough to do their jobs but that doesn't mean they comfortable with speaking in English.
From what I saw Yoshi understands English quite well but he is not very good with talking.
Pretty sure they paid visits to the western data centers with their incognito accounts in the past.
Hmm still, especially yoshi while busy id learn enough to talk, it would annoy the hell outta me if i cant talk to like 3/4 the ppl...^^
I’ve known some to play. They’re encouraged to do so, so they can experience the end result.
However, Japanese work culture doesn’t leave a lot of room for pleasure time.
Speaking english and beign comfortable with it is also a generation thing for the Japanese. After WWII it wasn't seen in a good light because of how the relationship between America and Japan was at the time, but over time younger generations started to speak it to show how cool they were. I mean look at Foxicon he tries to use it as much as he can and he has been increasing that use with every NA/EU event they do. While Yoshida I'm sure could converse fairly well in English he's less comfortable when using it. If they have done low profile visits on the NA/EU they've done it so they don't get swarmed because that's what happens any time they visit the jp ones. Along with the nude male roes who show up in huge numbers.
Actual programming uses roman letters, but code is pretty much its own language and you have to learn it from scratch even if English is your native language. Comments in code can be in any language.
For project management, business analysis, systems design - all the stuff that isn't the programming part - you can do that in any language.
And I saw on instagram that Yoshi-P did visit the NA servers after all! That’s cool! Wish I could meet him in game some day!
Seen something once in Raganarok Camp Dragonhead surroundings in 4 years of game. He/she was like an ET running in full speed and with one half transparent avatar.
Not sure if it was a Dev perhaps a GM, in real never saw a GM avatar in game or even a Dev avatar only that half transparent avatar thing.
Why am I the only one who never saw a GM or Dev in game? *goes in a full dramatic rant*

I've actually known people from Japan who'd prefer to avoid speaking English when possible simply because they're afraid of mispronouncing a word or causing offense by mistake with bad phrasing. It's almost comical when you explain that most Americans will offer to help out and can be pretty tough to offend. (most of the time anyways)
Japanese is super structured and has several layers of manners/politeness blended in. English on the other hand... total chaos in comparison and tone can change a lot.
Sometimes even if Yoshida visits, he might be non responsive to players talking and what not.
Last time I saw him, he just waited for a while on the beach in the Mist (In the ward the FC house he is apart of resides) and everyone kept a respectful distance from his character other then the odd run in for a screenshot, after about 10mins their duty popped.
Gaze into the eyes of your creator.

He logged onto Goblin but was AFK for about 12 hours doing interviews, besides returning after a power cut. Presumably he was able to peek at what was going on between interviews.
Most of the shouts weren't even feature requests like you might expect. They were simply reminding him to drink some water out of concern for the fact he was spending 12 hours doing interviews and working himself hard.
After 12 hours he expressed his relief of how the interviews were finally done. He was super cool and acted like a player, but had to log off to sleep.
Do Japanese developers code in english? It wouldn't probably be impossible to make the commands and such in another language... Namely in Japanese in this case.
The compiling process wouldn't much care what language the code is in as long as everything is defined...
Wanna say no but well that is just cause i have not seen one while i have been online myself .. so yeah.
I remember people saying Yoshi-P appeared in omega a while ago. Pretty sure it was before the EU server split.
Objects and variables can be named whatever you want, but for various compatibility reasons it's preferred to write script using roman characters (this helps prevent any wacky unicode nonsense when compiling).
That being said.... is that really English? Not really. It's C++ or Java or Python or whatever. It's its own language and other than borrowing some English words it isn't really English at all.
Hasn't he been doing drop-ins over the last week, primarily since he was in the NA/EU area for various events? They seem like NA/EU server names, but I could be mistaken.
He was at E3, so aren't these servers EU/NA?
Behemoth on 13th
Goblin on 12th
Midgardsormr on 11th
I bet YoshiP will visit EU servers during gamescom time. At least I hope so, I want to poke his little Lala.
As others have said, most devs would be on the JP servers to play the game - and would likely not advertise the fact that they're devs. You might have met one without even realising.
Otherwise I've seen Yoshi-P on Omega before, he was hanging around in Limsa for a few hours before heading off to the next server on his EU tour (this was a while ago now). GMs are also spotted every so often, probably just out on patrol, and are easily identifiable by their red armour and spooky Ascian-looking glow.
Yoshi-P was literally just on Goblin a few days ago.
