NA Data Center Expansion Maintenance (more housing?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)

Any1 know if more plots will be added fingers crossed...:confused:

Near 100% unlikely to occur, the maintenance is for the new NA data center and server reshuffle.

No new plots. But plots will open up from ppl moving. And I believe the housing timers also turn back on, as well.

The lodestone has every single info of the current maint. I recommend checking it.
But short answer: no. There's no announcement of new wards whatsoever.

Nope.

I doubt they'd ever ninja add housing, they usually make several announcement beforehand before doing that.


However, it's possible that ppl might transfer servers during the next couple of weeks due to the data center shuffles and Free Character transfers... so plots might open up in existing wards.

they didnt add new plots, when they split the Eu datacenter, why would they do that now

Not according to the information about it. It turns back on the 23rd with 4.57 which wasn't out yet.

As others have stated, tonight's patch will recommence the housing timer, but here is one of the official announcements on it for more information.

More housing might become available because of people transferring and houses getting demolished from inactivity.

At least, that is what i am banking on.

Bet there is going to be ton open plots on my server. Keep hearing that half my server is going to transfer to another that there raid party will be on. Can see 1+ hour queues becoming coming normal now because of it.

Timer turns back on this maint and leaves off where it was before it stopped so unlikely to see houses available due to timer immediately. However, we are likely to see houses open up due to people transferring to new servers. I'd suggest checking a couple times a day though just in case.

Many EU servers have seen a fair amount of housing become available again now that their free transfer period has ended. The preferred worlds for NA, and possibly some of the standard worlds, should see something similar happen.

Keep in mind this doesn't mean you're going to see it when the servers first come back up. You're going to see it closer to the end of the free transfer period. You'll also see more become available throughout May as auto-demo starts kicking in on those houses owned by players who have quit playing.
