Jumping puzzles in Shadowbringers?

So I was looking at the pre-release screenshots and noticed something in this pic from Amh Araeng:

The big structure in the back appears to have maintenance spikes like Kugane Tower. I had an interesting and potentially frightening thought: what if they decided to one-up Kugane Tower by having one of the aetherial currents for this zone requires traversing a tricky jumping puzzle here? :eek:

They wouldn't do that.
Evidence: They put all aetherial currents next to the MSQ route and mostly easily available just hidden behind a cliff or a mountain but never something complicated like a jumping puzzle.

To many people would miss out on flying in this area until they relocate the aetherial currents to make it easier for stragglers.

Those pegs better be fucking huge and easy to jump on if I need to do a jumping challenge to get an aether current

Well we have 4 man mounts now so we may see even more people sell taxi service to those spots in PF lol

Jumping puzzles should end in shadowbringers imo

The one up on the bridge in the lochs zone was a pain.. No jumping skill needed, but it was a real terrain puzzle though.

My Uber business would bloom.

Any jump puzzles in overworld zones could be easily circumvented with mounts though. Just need that first person to get it, then ferry 3 ppl, then they can each ferry 3 ppl, and so on.

Just no, hell please no. no jump puzzles for anything significant ...........

and what is the point of putting one in if you can just use a flying mount
If i want to do jump puzzles i go play a platformer game.
The one putting a jump puzzle in this game to progress anything deserves to find a horsehead in his bed!

They actually MOVED several of the HW Aether Currents because folks complained they were to hard to get to (spoiler: They were not too hard to get to). The idea that they'd put one behind a jumping puzzle is pretty unlikely. Maybe if they made the jump puzzle stupidly easy, but even then I find it to be quite unlikely.

Bring back the toothpick jumping puzzles from summer event. :')

jumping puzzles for a current? Yeh no.

Jumping puzzles in general? I enjoy them, they're challenging, and getting to remote high spots is fun, so there better be some as epic as kugane, or better.

I like the idea of jumping puzzles, but I despise the pegs. I just can't seem to consistently jump correctly with my character on the pegs and it can be infuriating knowing exactly where you need your character to go, but they either faceplant the peg or decide to be an olympic high jumper and completely clear it. I would much prefer if jump puzzles had slightly larger platform areas to jump to and maybe add maybe add multiple fake paths and some moving elements.

I don't particularly like their current approach to jumping puzzles so I don't think I'd be a fan of having more of them.

I don't see them doing that. They moved HW currents from their original spots because they were a pain to get to.

They can keep jumping puzzles for optional content, but not necessary things like aether currents. I think they forget not everyone plays this game with a controller.
