so how have you all been today

Did they say that in chat?
If so, I would report them. A GM can check the chat log.
Yea I would report them.
Yeah thats a big fat report for abuse of the kick button.
TheLittlestLala with most powerfulest of lungs, dragonborn!
Also I'm sorry, that sucks - assuming there is no important missing info and if they said publicly why they did it then it's an easy report.
That's racist.
I had a run of Dzmael DH where a dps said racist things about my lala while I was tanking. We got to maybe around the third pull before I put in for a vote dismiss and they got sent packing.
People are so out there.
Great community btw
Wow racism is so primitive. How anyone could ever be mean to delicious future French fries is beyond me.
I just don't get it... For the longest time, I would have thought a post like this was a meme post trying to get attention, but in the last year, I've seen so many people being straight up derranged when it comes to lalafells in the game. Making a popoto joke is one thing - haha, roundish small person is like a potato, we all laugh and move on....
But I've met some people that didn't just dislike lalafells - they HATE them. They hate the player models, they hate the sound effects - they most often hate the players behind them too. People saying disturbing things to random people in dungeons and the like...
Not in a "haha, I was just joking" sort of way, but like dude you need to talk to someone kind of way. Played a lalafell for a while (and a tarutaru way back in the day...) and never ran across anything super extreme like that, but I did get quite a lot otherwise.
Maybe they are trying too hard to be funny and it comes across wrong... But it's not funny, and it's not healthy.
Absolutely hope you reported them.
Did you spam /laugh all the run? If so, I would kick you too.
I believe playstyle difference is meant to be things like refusing to stick with the group when the majority decide to speed run, or trying to force a speed run when the majority don't want to.
I don't think SE is going to allow / want players to kick you based on your gender or race. In fact if they did then just wait a few weeks when someone does it and it hits the click-rage news cycle, being kicked from the dungeon is either not allowed right now or it will be soon... :3. "I was kicked out of groups for being a female au ra, more on FFXIV's toxic community after we cover why walking simulator are the future of gaming and we're excited!".
That said I bet the report would just put some record on their account if it's clean, something they may reference later. If it's littered with issues then maybe something punitive would happen, maybe.
They probably thought it was the punt button.
Just wanna say that I love your signature. I hope you don't get kicked from dungeons anymore, remember: never stop believing.
We're getting a higher influx of people between new players joining due to see the game or just refugees from other MMO's like Wildstar and WoW. It's like a total hit and miss of we get more great people to play with but also see more bad apples at the same time because of it.
I'd totally say back when I started playing as a lala I never personally saw any of this type of treatment, just your standard jokes everyone else uses nowadays. But when you meet one of those people who actively hate them it's just an out of body experience. Maybe they have a burning hatred for Teledeji and Lolorito that infused to just hating Lalas in general. *shrug*
As it's really been said best is to report them to a GM and have them look at your ingame text logs.
i think most reasons for being kicked in dungeons are stupid when its not harassment, but is this harassment? I'm actually asking because I can be dense at times. could this be replaced with "I dont like your characters name or glam" and commencing a vote kick. Is that reportable?
They probably had a preformed party with one or two others to get the kick off, preformed parties tend to make people pretty bold in how they treat others. Seems pretty against the norm though, you can just turn voices down if they're annoying.
Hmm, that's a new one on me.
Worst I've had to deal with is the odd /slap or punt emote.
Most of the time it's headpats which are welcome and appreciated.
The kick feature is good but not without obvious caveats. I've only really used the kick feature for players who just afk/dc in parties. Kicking someone because you don't like the look/name/voice of their character is harassment. If you want to be a bigot in an MMO then form your own party of friends so you can avoid others. A few days ago I got called a" Rping *insert slur word*" because I play a female roegadyn. Me & the party instakicked the player and all reported him for harassment. You can't let players like these run around without receiving punishment. They'll just multiply and start kicking/harassing other players because of their character's voice/appearance/name. SE made changes to their ToS for a reason. Don't let hatred go unpunished in this game.
Wow, doesn't the jerk know you can mute other people's characters in system settings?
I do have to admit the lala hate has skyrocketed since people started leaving WoW Coincidence to be sure one should hope this isnt the reason. I love Lalas they're cool I wont play one but I do like running dungoeuns with them especially tank lalas cause it's just so cool seeing them taking things out at the kneecaps.
I've wanted to do this for a long time.
Why would someone kick the emergency rations?
I'm still curious as to how OP knows they were kicked because of their characters voice. The people in the group would have to say so before hand or send a /tell afterwards. Other than that you never know why you are kicked as the system never tells you what the kick reason selected was.
It's okay my friend, I got kicked out of a nidhogg EX farm party because jumping while using triple cast is considering trolling. I was the only one who needed the mount too so it was kind of obvious they just wanted to invite their friend. My friend who was with me got kicked for asking about it. I hope you reported them.
I love when I get Lalas in my party! I find them so cute and charming.
I feel like theres more to this story. She never claimed that they stated that in chat and it could have been for a multitude of reasons, some valid and some not.
Even if, we have multiple claims of existing/rise in Lala hate or examples of it happening and people agreeing that its been an issue, let alone this quote being in this very same thread relating to it's title:
At this point it doesn't even matter if the original point is valid or not since it's showing a disgusting underbelly in the community.
We play games (especially an mmo) to make our own character that we enjoy, escape reality and to have fun. I wouldn't want something like this on people playing any of the other races either as it's not acceptable.
First off, I'm sorry you experienced that. People can be jerks. Secondly, I think part of the problem is people coming from other MMO's as someone else pointed out, especially world of warcraft. I just came back from 10 months of wow and the community is more toxic than it has ever been. The problem is Battle for Azeroth turned out to be one massive turd. Its so bad people are jumping ship and FFXIV is, in my opinion, the next best MMO to go over to. So all those toxic people are now over here. Just give it some time. The wow players don't have the patience needed to sit through a storyline like FFXIV, especially with much of the game locked behind main story quests. They will soon get bored and take off from here as well. In the meantime, if those people did indeed mention kicking you for the way your lala sounds I would totally suggest reporting them. That is an obvious abuse of the kick system.
Random jerks happen. I find they are pretty rare.
Let me guess, was it this voice?

Actually, I have seen absurd amounts of real hate towards Lalafell since ARR, so I don't think we can blame WoW refugees for this one.
There was also more toxicity than I had ever seen, in the latency mess of Titan HM back then when everyone was doing it for relic. Only time in this game I was told to uninstall and kill myself, lol. When the feast came out, it came pretty close though.

I understand the skepticism so here is the whole story.
The dungeon starts and the healer is dcing at the start so I /surprise her while she's pokeballed. When she came back I /surprised her again and a dps I won't name told me that was a good way to get blocked. So whatever I start pulling and stuff and then in the middle of the mob fights the same dps tells me to "fucking stop" in which I then realize that he's talking about the squeaking my character does when using heavy swing and I try to explain to him that it can't be helped.
Long story short in the middle of one of the pulls after a period of nobody saying anything I got kicked.
Yeah, some people get really mad over squeaky voices for some reason. I had a happy emote on my miqote I used to spam a little since it would usually make people laugh, but one time my friend told me that, while people were silent in say chat, they were spewing vitriol about me in their linkshell. Just because my cat sounded like a cat with the /happy emote.
If they just simply asked me to stop, I would have *shrugs*
I'm so sorry OP, I hope that player get's what's coming to them.
I had some crazy just walk up and slap my lala. Never met them. They got reported and suspended. People have a lot of lala hate for no reason. It is sad.
