Those cul recipes are just as annoying as the old ones.

I'm glad with the new/revamped recipes, incl. CUL, i wouldn't expect to have wonderful meals with 1 or 2 ingredients.
BUT I still have a big BUT: where are new recipes to got cluster>crystals>shards ??
Or at least reintroduce astral/umbral moraines?
I'm still glad to get clusters in leves chests, but they kinda feel useless ; ;
Wow gonna have to lvl alchemy now!!!! As for cul recipes lots of things are simpler and there are totally new recipes. I like that steaks are now just base meat garlic and pepper 3 ingredients instead of 6 like before. Some didnt change at all but since I have mats for most im not upset. I so can't wait to see what effects they all have so I can make for linkshell and friends.
Glad I lvld it hopin they would fix food and they did nice!! And Goldsmiths should be happy as well as leatherworkers.

Not really for goldsmiths. Each basic accessory like rings and earring is about x4 more expensive as it uses one ingot (2.66 - 3 ores) per synth as opposed to 2 nuggets (0.66 ores) per synth.
Thankfully the dated recipies dont seem to have been removed, so people can still use the old grinding paths
don't think they will be meldable. Sure they are no longer Dated, but since there is no materia that can be slotted into any of the accessory slots. Nor have they mentioned accessory melding in the latest post, or the previous post when they annonced the reforms in the first place
... which will only happen once they remove the nuggets synth .... which is still available .... and won't be leaving until they remove all of the dated recipies and items.
It is kind of confusing. When the first recipie overhaul took place we were left with a lot of broken synth chains. E.g. Before you took Ore to Nuggets to Ingots to Wire to Chain. Now they made it so it is Ore to Ingots to Chain. The Ore to Nuggets and the Ingots to Wire still works, You just can't use Nuggets to Ingots or Wire to Chain anymore.
Dang, was hoping Alchemist would be able to synth some player made raise potions. Would of been a nice way to get some easy bank with the jobs and all... but I'm more than satisfied with what we have now. Hurray for steroids.
I believe devs has alraedy clarified that accs aren't gonna be meldable.
Yeah, has been posted that accessories wont be meldable.

Melding is specific to gear slots for weapons, secondary, head, body, legs, feet arms and waist
it does not work on jewelry period, they even said it originaly that it wouldnt be for jewelry
now, a question, do you perhaps mean that itl be spritbindable(unlike UU gear)?

I agree it's a bit disheartening to see New Culinarian Recipes still using 8 (EIGHT) Ingredients per Synth. :(
If they're going to be super potent / powerful, sure, but we'll have to see.
Otherwise, I'm really happy to see the New Goldsmith Recipes (and 3 different tiers of potential Rings, Bracelets, etc.), as well as the Alchemy revisions.

Have they said if they were getting rid of the nugget recipe? Cause at the moment, i have about 12 stacks of iron squares to use for my Armorer!
I wonder if they'll change that since accessories are being condensed. Earrings are just one slot now. Either way, when it comes to melding materia, I guess Goldsmith definitely gets the short end of the stick compared to other crafts. I know they need to balance everything still, its taking forever. The 'new' recipes they added are just more of the same. Or less of the same if you look at how much more raw material is needed.
Most cul recipes seem to have removed things that are npc only like sour red for steaks. Steaks are now just meat garlic and salt or pepper. Not perfect but better. Sadly I got used to 8 ingredients for cooking anyway but I do feel your pain.
Working on alchemy now because potions sound like game changers.

I can't think of any other "old' info.
Please tell me that sanding 6 fish and then converting to 1 fine sand is going to be the only way to convert most crystals into shards, thats... more than unreasonable, especially if the alchemy reform doesn't address it.
Please give us an effective cluster >crystal >shard conversion method again.
"Old data" could simply refer to an older version of the food revision. In other words, it could be anything.
That being said, some of the supposedly changed recipes looked a lot like the existing ones to me. I didn't check them item by item, but I noticed that many food recipes still need the same amount of ingredients as before, and those ingredients looked pretty familiar too. Stuffed Cabbage, Shepherd's Pie and Knight's Bread for example. But we'll find out tomorrow either way ~
