Hair Style/Color & Face paint saved to glam plates

You think they will ever allow us to save hair styles, color and simple face paints/tattoos and lip colors to each glam plate?

I wish! Because I have some outfits where a different hairstyle would be better due to clipping or if I have a hat on.

This would be amazing! And honestly though the whole system needs an overhaul and should allow us to save glams to our job stones.

I've been requesting this for quite some time now, though just with hairstyles but wouldn't mind facepaint and hair color as well. Keeping my fingers crossed it happens someday.

That'd be nice. I have a few glamour sets that really want different hairstyles/colors to go with them.

Oh god please yes, when i make glamour based around characters it would be amazing for the hair to swap too
the gil cost for the barber is so small anyway, please make it happen!

I'd guess it's hard to do because of whatever underlying data is involved. The process now is very locked down - can't communicate with other players, can't remain in a Duty Finder queue, several unskippable cutscenes play that are probably covering up background processes (most likely transferring you into editing mode, and updating character data at the end).

So if they need to do all that in the current system, and haven't relaxed those restrictions alongside things like being able to teleport out of inn rooms, I would guess that it's not a simple thing to change - even if it feels like it should be.


I do wonder if they'd be able to work around it with equippable wigs or something similar, but then it would take up the headgear slot and you wouldn't be able to equip it along with a hat.

This would be so amazing.

That would be an incredible aesthetic QoL to add.

Even thought I am sure it would be difficult to put in place, I would love that ! I'm all for it ! :D

This sadly. Since hair changes are part of character creation I'd imagine the changes that would need to be made would be akin to "moving the desks nailed to the floor to the second floor" levels of difficult. So that would probably be added to the "please add more character creation options" list of impossible things to do.

I really really wish.

I regularly swap between having my hair up in a messy mop but also a fancier hair down version... being able to swap between them based on glam plates would be fantastic.

Because their server space and resources are not zero, but finite. As long as this remains true, they can use it as many times as they want to, and they will continue to provide new content. However, they have to make strategic decisions on where and how these resources are allocated. I really shouldn't have to spell this out. I want this QoL change as much as anyone, but understand that it's not an easy one to accomplish. SE doesn't have the best foresight, but their hindsight is 20/20. I don't think we will ever get something like this in FFXIVs lifetime, but it may very well be present in their next MMO.

I support this, each plate is for a specific look and theme, this would really enhance the concept and customisation to what one could achieve.
