Is it reportable to relocate a house if people are camping it?

I recently traded out my goblet house today for a shiro house. I was on the fence about it, but the people camping it were rude, so that pushed me over to the 'do it' side of the decision making.

Now they're trying to report me for harassment or something. Is there any rule against relocating like that?

No.

I got reported once for having the F word in my search info. Ever since that day I've been stupidly PG in all chat forms. FFXIV ain't take no salt from anyone!

It's not reportable. I had a friend do that once to put their house next to our FC and nothing came from the threats to report or tantrum throwing. Probably helped that the person throwing the tantrum had emote slapped people and berated them for simply checking the plot and was just generally an unpleasant pill in chat before it happened.

You'll be fine. If SE had an issue with it they wouldn't allow people to relocate to begin with.

The only way you could get in trouble for this is if you said anything offensive in chat - things along the lines of your only reason for relocating being to hurt the people camping (specially when expressed in more colouful words).

Relocating your house is perfectly in line with the ToS and therefor not reportable - even if you did it just to spite them, as long as you didnt announce that, they have no proof after all.

You were using the system the way it is intended. That is not reportable. You were just in a better position to purchase the house. If something was said or done before or after the process that is reportable then there may be some complications. But if you did nothing reportable then you have nothing to worry about.

Nope, they were salty. Housing plots are made available to transfer before buying from nothing and all your guilty of is being there looking to move Vs them waiting out the timer.

Did you say anything in chat reportable or announce to them that was why you did it (to spite them)? If not, they've no evidence against you. The GMs will see "He just moved his plot, that's within ToS" and you'll be fine. You used a legit mechanic in the game, you didn't exploit anything, so you're fine.

Once again, so long as you don't announce it as such in game, or be rude to them about it, then it's not a punishable offence. While anything and everything can be reported, if it doesn't breach the rules (which unless you announce in game you're doing it out of spite or are rude to other people about it, it wouldn't breach rules) the GMs won't punish for it.

You can do anything you want to spite people in this game, so long as you don't inform them that you are doing it to spite them.

They'd have to prove you were being petty.

Edit: Also sounds like you wanted the property too anyway so I wouldn't call this purely pettiness.
