New Grand Companies for Ala Mhigo, Doma and Ishgard

I personally love the cool outfits and special items you get from your grand companies and I would love them to do more of that for the other three countries. Do we think they are going to rework and add these three to the team?

Probably not, though it'd be cool. Not super high on my priority list for features.

I am all for Ishgard anything.

Actually yeah this would be really cool! I would totally switch to Ala Mhigo!

They would have to change frontline and alliance raid. They're based on having three GC, well, frontline at least, not sure about alliance raid.

Also there is actually little reason now for the GCs even to exist as seperate organizations but as sections of the unified Eorzean Alliance - their whole purpose is long redundant as they were established originally to consolidate the three citystates' resources and manpower in the lead up to the Calamity, as prior to that Gridania, Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah did not have actual formal standing armies but token militias that were glorified police services and little else (and thus were in no position to defend themselves against an outside aggressor - read: Garlemald).

And in relation to that, Ishgard, Ala Mhigo and Doma are not in the same position as the other city states (Ishgard has no need for a Grand Company as it has had a full standing army that was fully mobilized for the Dragonsong War for a thousand years which is now over, and Ala Mhigo's forces are still organized formally as the Ala Mhigan Resistance. Doma perhaps is the one with the greatest need, as their resistance force was much smaller, but they're concentrating on rebuilding the city itself and even then, they're more content with any assistance given to be directly given to the people and not maintaining a paramilitary organization deployed on foreign soil.).

Hence, I hate to say it but you won't see any expansion of the Grand Companies to other cities (after all remember what happened last time lore wise a new Grand Company was added).

I wouldn't want them to be implemented as Grand Companies. Aside from the risk of the story getting very boring if Eorzea dominates every corner of the game world, all we really need is for each nation to have a specific Custom Delivery NPC that you forge a bond with and in exchange they give you various items tied to their home nation such as flags, banners and glamour outfits.

I'd like that very much for Garlemald and Hingashi.

Once upon a time, we were hinted at potentially getting an Ishgard GC alongside Ishgard housing. Similar teases at fanfests, like Blitzball, never came to pass despite how nice of ideas these are.

I would love to see a dark knight joining the Temple Knights.

Just imagine joining the Ala Mhigan ranks!

When the healer in your party makes you angry, you can just slap a restraint collar on them and yell SLOPPEH!!

I love hearing everyone's reasoning and wants. I would love some good ishgard glamour or Al Mhigan glamour.

My highlander heart would love an Ala Mhigan GC

I don't know if I want them added as grand companies, but the glamours and things from these places could be easily added through the restoration missions, like the Doman Enclave, or the upcoming Ishgard restoration.

We've helped all the city states before, but I feel the amount of work we put into Ishgard, Ala Mhigo and Doma kinda transcends Grand Companies.

I love that idea. Everyone would be switching to these new grand companies so the balance would still be in place.

This would be amazing, but I highly doubt this will happen. The normal GC is pretty low on their list of things to work on and adding more of them seems even lower. I'd love to see the new elite hunt gear and weapons for each of the new "gc" though. A boy can dream.

I’d just be happy if they allowed job crystals for squadrons and added new choices for recruits when the new races come out.

I touched on this previously. (Ignore the initial arguments about "Promoting an adventurer" to ranks that are literally viewable in game under your character data...)

It would be nice to access some sort of "Grand Company" for the 3 newest city-states. Allowing for more unlocks and more things to purchase.

However, I'd kind of want them to finish off the current GC's first, as well as put in some sort of "Future Proofing" so that their rewards don't become redundant once you finish with ARR content (Outside the occasional glamour piece)

Especially since we've literally been acting in the name of GC's since HW (During HW we were working on behalf of the Temple Knights alongside our husbando Ser Aymeric. With SB we are working on behalf of the 3 Eorzean GC's during the Resistance push into the Fringes (Talk to some of the NPC's in Castrum Oriens and they'll mention when you've helped them that "They're glad they decided to let Adventurers sign up to the Grand Companies")

Personally... I kind of hope to get the final ranks soon, so I can grind them out along with all the associated achievements and then go back to Maelstrom... Til the Sea Swallows All!

But getting Ishgard/Doma/Ala Mhigo GC's (Or similar if it's not technically a "Grand Company" that we end up working with) along with expanded content within GC's would be neat.

Though, I'm a little concerned at this point, given the lack of interest they seem to have in updating GC's and of course, with the Trust system sounding like essentially a replacement for Squadrons I'm half expecting them to have forgotten about GC's existing at this point >.>

Ooh I have been wanting new GC for awhile. Especially Doma and Ishgard!! I really hope this some day gets added

A city state that has an army could still use a grand company for the sake of having an adventurers guild.
