Anyone from the UK?

Just wondering if anyone from UK is moving over to Ragnarok.

accroding to what ive gathered from the forum posts most of the eu people decided to stay on their server instead of moving.

I'm from the UK 90% set on ragnarok, I like the idea of starting on a fresh server should be fun

Actually most of the active EU LS are moving to ragnarok (at least french LS, can't say for sure German and UK will do the same)

most of the UK people i no on my server are staying on Ridill and i no at least another 20ish that got into it before it got full :D

Yeh Ridill is free at the moment but don't fancy going there, was hoping for Excalibur but haven't seen a Triangle since they put them up...i will have to see how it pans out. If they don't get enough on Ragnarok it may never happen and ill prob end up merging with the place i left LOL

I would love it if ragnarok worked out, i was hoping to transfer there myself, but the server seems to be the one withthe least people on and most of which are german or french and i dot speak either language so no go for me.

I don't either but there are a lot of German and French players on Lindblum and they all speak pretty good English and we have never had any probs communicating. I do hope this server works also as it has a cool name and a shame people are bashing it, i think ill stick with it and hope it works out!!

Well since opening post asked about UK ill take this chance to ask if any scandinavians are moving to ragnarok?

Thats not true at all. Most of the Active EU LSes are staying where they are. Its mostly the Germans and French (seemingly) that are moving with the Spanish (however many there are of them). Look at the world forums, there is an EU LS recruiting on almost everyone one of them.

Its still early days though. Only way people will know for sure is when they actually set down on Ragnarock.

I'm from the UK too.

I don't care if the server is 'x' or not as long as it's busy during GMT evenings.

I hope more people take advantage of this opportunity. It could become a great place to play after the merge. I'm sure it will attract players from all time zones once they drop the 'EU' label.

yeah there's only one LS for each server that's low, and not always from your country.

on Ragnarok there's already 11 French LS confirmed and 7 German. I can't say for others country. Most of Trabia's EU ls are moving, same from selbina.

Keep in mind there will be only active player on this server since it's new, most of others were full right from the start of the transfers thanks to the thousands inactive players data so you can't say how much of a gap there is actually.

I don't think this server will be empty as much as some people try to say.

I never implied that it will be empty. I simply said saying most active EU LSes are going isn't true - which it isn't. in fact that is part of the problem for people wanting to switch servers in general. The EU populace hasn't moved as much as they think it would have. It seems to be mostly the French and Germans making up the bulk of the people moving - as you yourself pointed out. Surprisingly Fabuls German LS decided not to go I was told today.

Now, don't get me wrong. Albeit as a GMT player me nor my LS have any intention of moving to Ragnarock but it doesn't mean I wish ill. I am simply watching to see if it picks up as a server if needed in the future for when 2.0 comes out. I think it could be a good start for people who are struggling alone as EU players on scattered servers.

Never said you did. I'm not stating fact, I report what I can see from my community. I also never said every LS was moving. Then again EU is a large zone so we can't say anything for sure now, but from what I can already see there'll be more player than there's in my actual server (at least during EU times).

I'm from the UK and moving to Ragnarok. I know of several EU members in my LS that are moving too.

From Holland but also moving to ragnarok, can't wait to actually have people to play with during GMT peak times ^^

Myself and a friend from the UK :). Looking forward to gaming with more english speaking folks, its been very hard to find parties and linkshells on Trabia :(.

From Italy, moving to Ragnarok. */wave* It's going to be sad to move from Mysidia because I have quite a few friends here, but starting events at either midnight or 3am was too late/early for me :x

I'm also from the UK moving here - Hope to find a nice little EU linkshell to call home :)

I'm also moving in mainly because for the longest time there was a lack of players during EU prime time on Saronia. I had the same problem in FFXI and I'm not going to have it again if I can help it, so Ragnarok it is.

I'm a little worried both for those moving and those staying. Those staying may be overestimating their ability to play during EU hours after the merge, but us movers may find ourselves on a too empty server or one dominated by French only/German only shells.

Im remaining hopeful for ragnarok,they wouldnt have let it go ahead if there wasnt enough players,and from what ive read and seem it will be lots of peeps on GMT time

Myself (Uzziah Jehiel) and my wife (Minxx McWhiskers) are both UK players since day 1 and have moved to Ragnarok. We are happy we came and are now seeking a new linkshell to call home. If the right opportunity doesn't come along, I'll probably re-establish Eorzean Nights and start recruiting.

I am also GMT based and would like to join your small group if I could, I am fast approaching 50 (41 right now) and I get kinda lonely in a linkshell that rarely speaks English.
