I hope the dancer job NPC is a dude.

And he's just this really cool guy who wants to teach you about the power of dance and to believe in yourself.


In FF 11 one of the dancer NPCs was this guy who ran a dance troupe and he ended up saving you at one point by doing a pirouette through the air that ended in a drop kick that knocked the bad guy out. Was such an iconic moment, I'll never forget it.

Oh, that would be good. I wonder who will teach us as Gunbreaker though?

Seeing as the RDM's teacher was shown off in the benchmark we might get a glimpse at him/her.

My guess is that it'll be a garlean defector of some kind. They're fed up with the empire and you get wrapped up with them somehow and they teach you their secret techniques. :v

I hope it's a guy. I know the trailer was trying to showcase the Dance job, but it mostly just felt like they we're shoving Viera down our throat. Sadly though, since a good portion of the newer jobs had men as their "main" NPC, they'll probably be female. Just please not a Viera. Also, to not cause the issues/mistaken Yoshi-P said the designed we're making, a male NPC would be best. Why not a female Roe, haven't had one of those in a while.

99% chance to be an uninteresting Vieira teaching us.

I say make it a roe, that would be so awesome to have a super huge buff dude be the face of dancer.

The dancer NPC will likely be a typical attractive Viera. I wouldn't be surprised.
(I'd like it to be a male for the sake of something different).

Maybe it'll be lord of the dance. You know that elezen dancing expert we showed up when unlocking that ul'dah exclusive dance? He did say he'd consider going on a journey to rediscover dancing. :p

I'd like it to be a dude just because people are getting super mad about all the fan art of dudes in sexy dancer outfits, so I'd love to see them continue to be mad about it and be forced to look at it if they want to level the job.

People are getting mad over that? Now I really hope it's a buff Roe in Galuf's dancer outfit.

How about the guy that teaches you the Ul'Dah dance? I'd love to see him as the teacher and maybe that girl back too. That it is unlocked in Limsa means nothing, as he left to teach dance in another part of the world.

I naturally assumed the viera in the cut scene and the dancer trailer was the teacher.

Much like how I assumed the cat boi Gunbreaker was the stand in for the rumored lion race.

"Super huge buff dude" fits Hrothgar as well. A Hrothgar dance instructor would be cooler than a Viera one. (Big as they are, they're still cat themed, and cats should be agile.) Big huge buff dude who's still agile as a cat = cool dance instructor.

But overall, I think I most like the suggestion a couple others mentioned about making it Guillaunaux, the dance instructor from the Ul'dah dance quest.

I can almost guarantee that the two job trailers show us the two job trainers. Look back at RDM trailer, it shows X'rhun Tia doing the actions (SAM is derplander).

I hope that the DNC trainer is a Male Viera.

Just because seeing the reaction to that would be hilarious.

I hope the quest line for Dancer is written like a season of Dancing With the Stars....

...with Hildebrand as one of the judges.

Zach Effron for DNC teacher or riot.

Hrothgar for dnc and Viera for gun would be super cool.

Lets be real here, it is going to be a Viera in her undergarments because they lacked the time and funds to make the gear apply.

Yes, this is a great opportunity to get back to P'Molminn and Guillaunaux! And yes, the FATE Mamool Ja who is too sexy for his harness. And Godbert and <gasp> could we say, Julyan Manderville (and Godbert) in Evening Dress - because the quest line is set up as a sort of "There's Evil Afoot at the Dancing with the Syndicate Competition" - a mystery evildoer, trying to sabotage - or kill! One or more of the Contestants...!

I would also love to see the 'Lord of the Dance' quest NPCs make a reappearance, but if we're going for the "super huge buff dude" approach then I'd suggest the Au Ra from the presentation slides who was wearing the male version of the relic gear.

That would be great, but I doubt the developers even remember half of the things they write for NPC fetch quests.
