I appreciate them, but I just cannot be any of these new races. I need a feminine male race with bunny ears. That was my expectation.

Honestly though, I wish I could play as one of the thicc'cotes in the trailer.

I could accept no male Viera if what we got instead looked at least decent...

... but the Hrothgar just look cheap. Roegadyn stature with extremely cheap looking furry textures plastered on to them.

Like how did that even go past concept state? Roegadyn are unpopular, why would furry Roegadyn be more popular, especially with cheap textures? That's likely why they look so vastly different from their Artwork.

I kinda hate them. Maybe they'll be cool, who knows. I'm just dreading all the bara cat furries they're going to bring in.

They weren't worth losing out on Male Viera in the slightest.

About time we got a beast race. People have been asking for this since Au Ra.

This won't be a popular race because its not cute, but it will still please the minority that has been always asking for this stuff.

I agree. Their textures don't look that good and I am very worried about whether or not they could have a variety of facial expression. Compare that to Viera where they look pretty detailed. I'm not sure how much they can improve on them when ShB will be released in 3 months. I guess we'll see once they release the benchmark.

They are too much like roegadyn + au ra, I really don't feel the unique part of the race that made them be added.

I hated the suspense for Male Viera, just for them to not add it and show us a mishmash copy of roe and aura. All I head from the community was viera, who really wanted ronso? 1%? while viera were the majority.

And blitzball is the lasting thing to complete the disappointment. Seeing as the things is going, Blitzball confirmed.

I hate when they base the excuse on the lore, I mean, It's not real, could you please develop a better fitting lore for a better gameplay?

The same date that they confirm the obligation to make a gender loked male race that looks terrible.

Hrothgar seem pretty cool, but it looked like they needed some touch-ups. Their bodies seem too big for their heads and the fur textures seemed really low-res. They look a little off right now, so hopefully they'll get some improvements over the next few months.

Still should have got male bunnies...they (bunnies) will be just as popular as miqo and female au'ra >_> oh well. I hope DNC wont end up a gender locked job too.

I guess at least my 2 fantasias on my alt have a use now? (and maybe buy another fantasia on my main so I can change back to male Roe) but still would have also liked Lioness, like since in the real world the lioness do all the hunting while males stay behind. But there's also leopard and tiger stripe variants and AFAIK those big cats tend to be more independent.

Dancer is not gender locked, they expressly showed a male Au Ru as a dancer in the show. So there will be Dancing Hrothgar in the future.

Doubtful. Many people have been asking for something like this to be added for quite some time and all of FFXIV's major competitors in the West have bestial playable races. Sometimes multiple. ESO, GW2 and WoW to be precise.

All of the people waiting on pins and needles to recreate the acclaimed Cheetahmen series within Eorzea have finally got their prayers answered! Who would have guessed that was a large enough section of the playerbase to warrant this kind of decision? Wonders never cease.

In all seriousness, did they learn nothing from 1.0 and the bunny suits? I had my fantasia all ready to go, I'll be damned if I'm using it to become a Cheetahman. So disappointing, SE.

I will create one right away, but still feel bad they already got a lot of stink eyes on them for replacing male Viera. Great way to present a new race, I say! Just...what was SE thinking smh

I like a new beefy race I won't lie, but I do hope their texture work will be touched up later. Not gonna change my main character but will definitely Fantasia my alt.
