Eureka.. Honestly Square, fire the developer.

Who's brilliant idea was Eureka? Who has the intellectual inferiority to think, "hey let's surround a level 13 quest target with enemies who will one shot even a tank at that level"? Who ever it was fire that individual. That's Square logic for you though and by that I mean a complete and total disregard for logic. Oh it's supposed to be difficult? I don't mind difficult I just don't want to HAVE to get someone to carry me through it so I feel so weak and powerless and feel like I'm completely wasting their time.

I'm sure some of you will say something completely lacking of any intellectual substance. Something like "git gud bruh" or something to that effect. You can't avoid 20 level 18 enemies who will one shot you before you get to the quest target. A quest by the way that starts at level 13..... Your only recourse is to ask other people to carry you through it because you're utterly useless at that level. Why? Square Enix is why. You're so used to horribly programmed games that lack any semblance of logic and forethought though that you've come to expect this.

I for one expect more from a multi billion dollar international company. You know something logical and difficult without it being completely impossible unless it's handed to you by someone else. Something you can earn without having to drag half your FC through the content they already cleared months ago. But hey what do I know I only base my opinion on logic not fanboism.

But yes adding mobs of higher level next to certain fates or quests was just mean.

At the very least, those Griffons should just be straight up deleted. Especially since in the future, you probably aren't going to have a bunch of people in the zone willing to chain raise you to the required spot.

Idk if these are real feelings or exaggerated for attention but I don't think there are any impossible quest spots to solo in the eureka series. It's just hard and risky to get through without being spotted but you can make it. The quests also remain open if you make a mistake and level down after accepting them, so you can try to sneak through again and complete the quest without having to level back up first. Hopefully if you die alone anywhere, somebody will come to res you, avoiding any exp loss. Eureka design targets a certain kind of gamer and wasn't expected to be liked by everyone. Doesn't have any design failings that are bad enough for anyone to be fired.

I'll agree with that, I just hate those Griffons.

Yeah griffons is a rough spot. It's sight aggro so we just run behind them, but watching them carefully beforehand for the best timing to prcoeed and not hesitating too much after they change direction to ensure they won't turn again when you make the run through.

Fire people because you don't like some content? How childish...

Mob placement in Eureka is just ranom encounters in pre-GBA FFII except intentional.

It's a good thing players and fans aren't the ones making the business decisions. Eureka is not the end of the world, no one is getting fired. You are just upset and need a break or need to find something else to do in game.

To be fair while i do not like Eureka SE really needed to try something different. Some do actually enjoy it so they will keep it in i think and expand upon the idea at least.
Don't like it, just simply do not do it. That's what i do.

Can't say I like Eureka, but like Diadem (also dislike), at least we can say their trying out ideas using side content rather than mainline content. Imagine this kind of stuff being added to MSQ or primary progression. Bit by bit it improves, and personally i think Eureka get vastly better when the instance is down to like 20 people or less.

We out here trying to ruin people's livelyhoods over content we domt like in a video game huh? You cant just not do eurekanyou gotta petition for the person to lose their job? Alright.

As much as i love this game i'm gonna join tc and say eureka is garbage.

i was almost indifferent to it at first but as it expanded that turned into a rich hate towards it, the only positive to it was that it was an attempt, an attempt at something different although its terrible in every way imaginable.

I dont mind a timesink or brutal grind but eureka is horrid because it ignores its own rules, I read how it was supposed to work when it was first announced and didnt mind how it sounded, pairing up, killing monsters to make chains and get crystals to level gear and maybe sometimes join everyone to kneecap a super beasty.......that'll work.

because of those godawful trains, i ran eureka probably once the "right way" and honestly it was pretty cool to just zone out and murder things as you slowly leveled and found a new monster to bloody into extinction, add in the vistas and it was almost neat. but after that instance ran out and i went again all that was there were "trains", just players standing around waiting for something to pop, no one wanted to group up and play like normal, they just wanted to find the train and loiter, even if i did shout and get an invite those dopes were clear across the map just idling with the mob expecting my lvl10 rdm dweeb to brave that murderous wasteland to join them.

and what has finally sent my rage to redline is the fact there is a neat sounding dungeon locked behind that travesty which i know i will never see because theres no way i will ever ever ever go in there again, i think 24man content is the most bad*** content in the game and now something even flashier exist but is gated by this trash, its insulting

is ff14 still my go to game? yes, obviously, am i amped for shadowbringers? heck yeah. but if more eureka type deviousness is announced i'm done, i honestly hate it that much.

This should probably be under exploratory missions and not the quests forums.

Also though I love Eureka. Its controversial content, but that doesn't mean its bad. Its really good content, well designed. Very enjoyable. The only really terrible part was initial launch Pagos and thats gone now.
