So how do you guys think we're going to get the regalia mount?

I'm expecting the regalia will break down somewhere in Eorzea and Cid will agree to help Noctis fix it, but he needs us to go out and collect materials to repair it with that are rare drops from fates all over Eorzea.

Then after we do that and the regalia is fixed, Cid gets the idea to upgrade the car to make it able to fly, so he sends us out again to collect more materials from fates to make the necessary upgrades. Then once that is done we finally unlock the mount for our use. :cool:

My hope is that it will be a quest reward and the trial will be used to farm for gears. My expectation is that everything will need to be farmed via the trial.

Maybe farm some fight 50-99 times like the Rath mount. I would be surprised if a 4 seater mount is easy to get since they sell two seaters on the mog station.

A repeat of Rathalos where XV's Garuda will have 2 levels of difficulty, the higher one rewarding tokens for the mount.

Personally hope it's similar to Monster Hunter World's Rathalos collaboration. 75 runs of the extreme version to guarantee the mount. Normal version does easy things.

The cynic in me expects it to be added to the Mogstation at the point the event starts :(

Personally I hope we're required to get a driver's license and insurance so the roads aren't flooded with dangerous Sunday drivers.

I am expecting it to be a 8 man trial outside of the solo instance with you and noctis. The 8 man trial will be the extreme difficulty and it will require 99 gears, and the drop rate will be extremely low to where you most likely will have to do it 99 times.

I'm hoping they make a mini series of quests about it. It'd be nice to have solo duties with just you and the guys, chilling at the campfire, Iggy discovering a new recipe (btw, we need that emote), and then ending the whole thing with Cid being so enamored with the original regalia that he ends up making a replica just for you.

Well IIRC the mount was already confirmed as coming directly from the collab and not Mog Station, which is nice (of course, nothing stops them from putting it on the Mog Station later down the line).

Realistically, I assume we will have either a Yo-kai Watch style FATE grind, or a Rathalos-style trial grind. Since this our first ever 4-seater mount, and it's being handed out for free, the time investment is going to be really steep. All other multi seat mounts are either a lengthy grind (mentor roulette mount) or paid for (whether directly or through Recruit-A-Friend), so I can't see SE attempting to trivialize that.

it'll have to do with a difficult EX style encounter with the XV version of Garuda. prob need 50 tokens like Rath EX.

Hopefully it isn't anything too tedious or RNG based and the event is added to the game as a permanent feature.

idc how we get it. I just want to know if we can change the paint color. Just a simple dye option would suffice as seeing everyone with the same exact paint job would be boring imo not to mention that it only makes sense that you could change the paint on your car.

Well, I haven't heard much details, but I would expect that ANY player should be able to take part in this... which means they cannot lock it behind a high level requirement; so they will have to sync players regardless of level. It would be completely unfair to new players to exclude them from this event and especially without advance warning that participation would require a certain level. I know in DCUO events, they were available to all players regardless of level; they would boost low level players and lower high level players.

They've already said it requires level 50 and to have completed ARR. It's more than likely a permanent event so low level players now can take part later.

Rathalos required level 70 and to have finished SB, after all.

If the Regalia doesn't explode from a slight breeze when flying or trying to land it's not staying true to FFXV.

Well, I do think this being a cross-over event from another major SE title should be handled much differently than additional 'end game' content, which I see Rathalos as being. They added more content for highest level players who are waiting around for something to do. The cross-over event is something different entirely IMO. Requiring level 50 and completion of ARR doesn't put it into an extremely high difficulty rating like so many here are talking about it being, which is good. They need to make this event accessible and completable by ALL players who qualify, not a small select group of elitists who kick people who don't have the best gear or skills.

Whatever it is, I hope it's going to be permanently available like Rathalos and not time limited like Yokai.

They haven't said, but I'm betting it will be permanent. 50 isn't something someone can just get to in the space of a week or two unless they're spamming the levels (and that's not a fun experience for new players.) Given that the XV version is permanent, I'll bet this one will be, too.

Bit dramatic aren't we? Nobody is suggesting it will be "extremely high difficulty", and last I checked The Great Hunt (Extreme) was neither difficult or limited to a "small, select few".

The reality of it is that there is no way in hell that they are going to give out the game's first ever 4 seater mount for free without locking it behind a grind of some description, and the only precedent that has been set is Yokai/Monster Hunter. Given what the teaser trailer has hinted at, it's extremely likely to be similar to the latter collaboration, with a trial based grind.

^ Rath EX is difficult starting out once you're getting the hang of it, but once you've got it down, it goes incredibly fast. My friends and I sat down to do it and by the end we got 13 clears in one night, about 2.5 hours. The fastest run we had was 6m.

Even if the Regalia is going to be a trial grind (and I can't imagine it being anything but), there's no guarantee it's going to be difficult.

I forgot all about the trial actually. That would make more sense. I'd rather have that than a fate grind, since fate grinds hurt my soul.

The real question is will the convertible top come up automatically when it rains?

I hope its not lvl50. I hate lvl50 content. Extremely boring

After fulfilling all quest related requirements you will buy it from an Audi Dealer... >.>

I remember there being a FFXV contest when it launched and I think the final grand prize was a RL Regalia that was built by Audi. Unfortunately they made sure to note that it couldn't fly in the promo vid.
