EU population

The fabulousness of this server intriques me.

What say you, other EU peeps that are on, or moving to Balmung. Or am I alone with this? >:

EU player here and I'll most likely be found on Balmung after the merger. I've considered Ragnarok as well, but it seems many EU players from both Fabul and Besaid are staying, so I might as well do the same.

P.S. It's useless to resist the fabulousness ;)

From my understanding there is a good amount of EU people on Besaid to start with. CS (Counting Sheep) from Fabul is staying as well. We're a EU/NA LS. The three who are thinking of leaving are 2 French and 1 German which seems to fit the bill of Ragnarock. rag seems to be pooling a lot of French, Germans and Spanish.

We don't want to touch ragnarock with a barge poll.

That's what I've gathered too. Rag will be mostly a FR/DE server it seems. Personally I don't think I know any EU people that would be willing to move there.

That's why I set out to find a new home. And I think I found it too. Hopefully EU people not going to Ragnarok will also consider choices. ^^

Thats good to hear. It will be nice to meet you guys. Maybe we can do a push to have Balmung called an GMT/EU friendly server as well on top of having other countries here. That why I never liked the rag thing. FF (to me) is about the collage of players coming together from all over the world. Albeit I am in the UK I have made some dear friends from across the globe.

Not to sound sappy but I'd like to keep that formula rolling.

Isn't it a bit weird that all servers except two are labeled as full mere hours after the application period started? Not much of a transfer opportunity then...

BTW, nice to see another Swede =)

You can still apply to Balmung - you basically take a number and hope to get called.

Couple people moved off Balmung - might try your luck now.

Still displayed as full on my end. I'll just leave the tab open and F5 every now and then.

Yeah. This is really stupid.

Displayed as locked for me too. There was really no point in giving a choice, if the servers were locked before most of the people even woke up or came back from work, just to see it's already too late.

Someone pointed out on the general forums that it might take a couple days of people shifting around servers before large slots open up. That makes sense to me. Not everyone is even home yet or made a choice or this or that. It's probably just congestion right now.

Seems this is starting to happen slowly. Some people are starting to shift to other worlds. They seem to be refreshing the page constantly and click when it comes up free.

But since only Ragnarok is not full, I don't think too many people will jump to Ragnarok anymore and offer a spot in other server.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can only transfer, if someone else from the world you want in transfers to Ragnarok.

I don't believe so. I personally know of two people who left balmung for gungnir. So rag isn't in that equation. Honestly, I think its just all congested right now and will sort out in a day or two. People wanting to transfer in general just need to be vigilant unfortunately.

Unless they got space in Gungnir because people from Gungnir transferred to Ragnarok. But let's hope you people are right, and it'll get sorted out soon. The best option imo would be just merge the worlds, raise the cap and add a transfer fee.

i not from eu. more of an oceanic timezone here. just wanted share, the congestion is high, by time you click refresh and see a server have a spot and click apply it be too late. Rather, will just have to take the chance and spam apply every now and then, and hope a spot open and it immediately take u to the confirmation page and then click confirm as fast as can and hope it success. about 14 of us oceanic players from fabul has manage to shift out of balmung already with another couple more wanting do so, so there will have space open up here and there. but u will have a narrow window of time to get into it when someone move as manya re camping the application. Hope for the success, as i know how hard it is when aren;t with people from your timezone to play with. wish those that wanting come balmung the best of luck. don;t give up! :P

I hope you guys manage to get your transfer on and come join us. This whole congestion stinks. Have faith that SE will arrange a solution, even if it's something like setting your desired destination and you get a slot when it opens up. Which would probably actually encourage more people to set their applications instead of complaining that everything is full, and free up more slots faster.

I would like to ask if some of the RP Linkshells are EU based, since I am from EU...duh.

most of the linkshells are US/EU mixed, the shell i'm in usually has it's events around 10pm GMT, which is a comfortable middle ground. I'd check on the Roleplay Community site here and see if you find any shells that interest you.

We (Counting Sheep) are an EU/NA LS (lots of EU players - our events on the EU side start 7-8ish gmt)) but aren't a RP LS. There are other EU players on Fabul that are coming over I believe so the mix between the servers populaces will surely give you what you're looking for.

I am sure you will find what you need/want. Welcome to the server.

Sweden here / Heading for Ragnarok, if it goes bad i shall transfer over to Balmung.

Or, I lived in Norway for about 8.5 years, but back in the Netherlands again ... Also not moving, because quite frankly, the EU only servers in MMO's suck.. My top 3 MMO's were mixed servers (EQ1, FFXI) or I played on a US server (DAoC) ;)

Another GMT/Scandinavian person here, transferring to Balmung in the merge. ^^ /happy

UK player here, been on a Besaid a fair long while now, looking forward to seeing lots of shouts in Ul'dah with the higher population!
