Guyver Crossover

Do you think a Guyver crossover could work? I think the armors would be really cool, but not sure what you would do for the weapons...

I don’t think it would work very well but it would be cool as hell to see. Man, now I want a guyver unit glamour.

Guyver (sometimes called Bio-Booster Armor Guyver) is only the coolest, longest-running bio-mecha manga to ever exist. It has several anime adaptations. It even had two western live-action movies: the first one was decidedly mediocre and had almost nothing to do with the source material (and for some reason gave Mark Hamill top billing even though he barely qualified as a secondary protagonist), but the 2nd was much more true to the manga and even starred David Hayter.

I doubt the kid from this generation know about Guyver.
But Female-Guyver 2 Glamour sounds nice.

If we are getting a anime crossover, I rather have Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, can you imagine the emotes.

We already got a random old anime crossover in the form of Garo.

Sorry to be picky about this but as a fan of Garo, it's not an anime. It has anime series, but is a primarily live action tokusatsu series, the armors and weapons we got were from the Live Action Garo series, specifically seasons 1 and 2, the ones focusing on Kouga Saejima. (Arguably the most popular seasons because Kouga was a really good protagonist.)

Now, onto the topic at hand!

While I love Guyver to death and back, it sadly wouldn't work. The only thing it could bring to the table is a handful of universal glamours with the guyver armors. But due to all of Guyver's weapons being a part of its body, and a large majority of them being ranged abilities (Mega Smasher, Heat Beam, Sonic Voice, Pressure Cannon.) There'd be no weapon glamours or any of that. Which would be a big sticking point for some.

However taking time to think the idea over, they could make a really fun trial using Guyver Gigantic or even Gigantic Exceed. But that's just forcing things to happen. Again, Guyver just wouldn't work, especially in Eorzea. The Guyver's tech is just far too advance to work in our setting.

I'm among the minority, but my want for a crossover with Saint Seiya went from "not going to happen" to "I can dream!" when I heard the karaoke of Pegasus Fantasy in Dad of Light, and the (back then) recentish celebration of their 30th anniversary. Their cloths would make for great armour (Gold Cloths especially, and it's based off of the zodiac constellations).

But not many people in North America know what it is. TwT I can still dream, even if it won't ever see the light of day!

Do not worry friend! You are not alone! D: I too wish for a Saint Seiya collab. There are so many clothes to choose from in terms of glamour! The only issue I foresee is the lack of weapons...since saints don't carry them (With exceptions to Libra, Sagittarius and technically Shun cause of the Nebula Chains.)

I think i heard Yoshi say no more crossover after Nier :( I maybe wrong ^^"

I highly doubt that. Crossovers while work intensive is good advertising on people that may not even know about your game / anime / w/e they decide to crossover.

That being said can we get a Devil May Cry crossover to? I want Dante's coat and Sword lol.

That's absolutely right, Teria... I forgot about that. Aaaah yes, I remember now; we got the slime accessories and such.

Somehow, I was thinking along the lines of only Dragonquest XI which I thoroughly enjoyed last year.

As much as I love Guyver, I don't think it would work well with FFXIV. When it comes to melee combat, Guyver is pretty hand to hand focused or uses his blade on his forearms. So having Guyver glamour on anything but Monk, would just really look out of place.
