I've seen a lot of discussion regarding the most desirable pieces of property in the various wards.
In your opinion, what is the worst plot of land, and why do you think that?

Imo it'd be Goblet Plot 4 and its subdivision equivalent. Away from any real scenery and facing a canyon wall. To me that is just awful.
Any staring at or behind a paissa house.
they are all bad because I can't have them.
Shirogane plot 2 and Shirogane plot 9. Because they are facing a stone wall.
I'm not a fan of Goblet 10/40. It was my first plot by necessity, but it's tucked behind other houses and about as far away from a market board as you can get. You have to loop all the way around other houses to reach a board or aetheryte. Aside from that, the view is pretty bad too. You're basically staring at someone else's medium as soon as you walk out the door. Heavens help you if that medium is really ugly as well. Thankfully, relocation exists so I didn't have to stay there.
This is the best answer.
#10 goblet has absolutely nothing going for it. Surrounded by other houses (sometimes surrounded by Paissa houses which stare into your soul).
The front looks directly at another house. The location is not near any market board or retainer bell. If there was ever a mistake house this is the one.
If I was a real estate agent trying to sell the house, id have to say "You've tried the best now try the rest".
1 plot and 30 plot Lavenders Beds. Its a shame i like both of them but u rlly get thirsty running back n forth to MB.
Also paissa houses and zero effort to the garden.
I have plot 60 in Lavender Beds, which is the subdivision version of 30. And I love it. I have my own personal curved bridge behind the house overlooking a giant waterfall, the only other house near me is one cottage so even if they had an annoying housing skin it won't be too big, I'm very high on a hill so I don't have to worry about other houses casting a shadow on mine, and while the mb isn't super close I am much closer to the material supplier vendor (who I use a lot) than most houses in the area.
To cut down on running time I have a bridge connecting my garden to the outside of the fence facing towards the mb near the vendors. It takes me only seconds to get to the mb.
I don't think I can think of a bad plot :o
I do think some plots need more creativity when decorating.....and I love redecorating other peoples gardens in my head XD
Most Shirogane ones that face the neighbour sucks - I hate the 'on top of neighbour' feel.
I remember when new housing wards were released, I had wanted to move in next to my friend, but this plot was my last resort:
Mist, plot 26.
Sandwiched between two walls, it makes the plot feel really claustrophobic and makes the house look smaller then it is.

And because this plot is sandwiched between two walls and 4 sets of stairs, the view of the Mist is very narrow.

This just goes to show how much preferences can differ on this subject. This is actually my plot. To be fair, I think the way the plot is set up makes a difference. I don't use a gate over the entrance to help a bit with the view. I have ways to climb up onto the roof and enjoy a more clear view if that's what I want. It also has good market board access. But hey, even the plot I picked earlier in this thread may be someone else's dream plot. I don't really have a real point with this, I just think it's interesting in the same way as Penthea.
I was under the impression that Goblet 28 wasn't desired as I had no competition for that area when 4.2 wards opened up for private housing buyers on Balmung, but maybe there were just enough plots left even on Balmung that it wasn't an issue. But seems here maybe I was wrong and it's not one of the least liked plots.
You didn't show the pretty "french style" canal or the floral bridge. I have this plot on Coeurl and it isn't that bad. :/ I set up the choco stable near the wall. Table and treehouse in front. It is pretty, to me.

Plot 59 in Goblet isn't that nice. It's kinda just sits at one lower corner and has no view.
At the moment i think any housing plot would be a place to cherish :) but from my past experience, some would consider my previous location as not so desirable, far from npc, or mb and kinda detached from the neighbourhood.
If SE could just adjust the positioning of estate plots near staircases and big walls, or just let the players choose which direction the estste is facing via adjustable presets (just like when the angle of furniture is adjusted before being setup), plot locations will always be ideal.
I'd be able to look to the beach, if my darn neighbor had a normal roof instead of their current Chocobo roof, they're the only person in all of my Shiro ward with a themed house lmao.
So when I exit my house and look to the left for the beach, I look straight into the butthole of a huge Chocobo.
I find it funny, so I put a silly little comment on their choice of roof in their outdoor book.
the more I stare into the butt of the Chocobo the more I feel like the cranky old lady next door. hahaha
I'm very fortunate that none of the plots in which I have ownership or tenancy with have this issue, but I do see it a lot just from running around the districts. The Carbuncle and Shirogane Castle housing skins are the biggest offenders of this. I have seen their roofs literally overtake most of the view from the gardens of some plots. I know someone who moved their plot location because of this. Yet another reason why instanced housing would be great.
That is pretty funny :D
Some of the Mist up towards the top away from the beach are my least favorite. That and the grass in Shirogane drives me nuts, its to perfect.
Mist plot 27
The mansions in the goblet are pretty bad imo. They are all isolated and far from the cool centric spa area.
