when do you think the new benchmark will be out?

as the title says. I figure since Viera have been revealed in the game regardless of the fact the content is optional it opens up the ability to drop a new benchmark/character creator in place. how soon do you think they will release the new benchmark this time? I'm hoping a release around the time of the EU fan festival

HW benchmark launched near the end of April and HW was released June 23.
SB benchmark launched near the end of April and SB was released June 20th.
SBR has an early summer expected release so the safe bet is late April.

thanks. I was hoping for a sooner release than that because I really want to play with the character creator for the new race. it is what it is I suppose

Yeah they're not going to give us the benchmark until we know more, anyway. Remember, Viera haven't even been "officially" announced. April works well, since it's after the Tokyo Fanfest, in March.

Those benchmarks are kinda pointless if you ask me.
Unless SBR brings graphics updates or performance optimizations/changes there is no point on releasing one.
A benchmark is a tool for measuring system performance and there is no point on releasing one unless something changes and we need to re-evaluate our systems.

Keep in mind they also feature character creators and show off the new race in it as well, where you can save your presets and import the settings into the live release.

I wish they would allow like a demo download for PS4 users so we can mess around in the character creation too. Not the benchmark and testing itself, only the cc options.

They are droppeng 32bit support entirely, so it opens up a lot more to happen at once.
It’s not unreasonable to think ShB is going to actually have improvements.

Yeah I agree. It's nice to see the new zones, characters and such but unless they are changing the graphics I don't really see a need, for me personally to run it.

Not quite I'm afraid. They've said it won't be supported, not that it won't work at all. They then expanded on it saying that some things might not work as expected, but they haven't flat out said 32-bit DX9 as we have won't be available.

Isn't it usually just after the Japan Fanfest? If so we'll have an idea on what to expect in races/jobs. It will be fun to speculate on what new actions we'll be seeing and how the new jobs will work before we get our hands on it.
