Fat cat mount?

My sister linked me an image of Fat Cat with the same layout as mounts.

It's likely a new cash shop mount, they are added to the files first and then at some point they decide to sell it, it can be months from now.

95% sure its achievement vendor

From what I've heard, it's been confirmed MogStation.

This could be the best mount yet, if it is indeed real!

We're being hopeful. To be fair, about the one thing they did add to that vendor was a mount. Not unprecedented.

$30, single character use only - Mog Station is my guess.

Achievement vendor item is not the Fat Cat mount.
It is not the Black Fat Chocobo.

It is the orchestrion roll “Beyond Redemption”, which plays during the final phase of the Unending Coil of Bahamut.

Highly likely. It hasn’t been found in-game yet at in-game vendors, and I don’t think they’d make it a reward from Lost Canals. Some people are saying Eureka, but I don’t find that likely either.

Awww, that sucks. :< It would have been a nice mount to gain in-game for something. If it really is going to up in mogstation then I'll just wait till 30% discount day to get it.

Two scoops of disappointment in every patch.

I wasn't expecting a mount or anything spectacular. I don't really know what I was expecting. But a single orchestrion roll for 2 certificates seemed a bit underwhelming.

It might be for an upcoming seasonal event. Got valentiones and little ladies day relatively soon.

The Magitek claw mount is a achievement vendor mount
Also the previous veteran reward mounts are in there too

That was before they saw that they can simply add these things to the cash shop and people will throw money at them. I'm pretty sure that most of those Mog Station items that get so frequently added as of late would've ended up as (the now gone) Veteran Rewards otherwise, but money is money. The achievement vendor gives me the feeling of being there just to "hide" that the veteran program ever existed, and it's pretty obvious that they don't give a damn about it seeing how often it's updated, and with what.

Magitek claw was 4.3(i think i know it was SB) very recent
So clearly at a time they could add it to mogstation.

Little Ladies Day feels the more likely of the two to me though, it has had quite a diverse set of rewards in the past. Glow-stick emotes, Songbird outfit, Cherry trees, Japan themed clothes, minions etc.

The only new thing they added to the achievement vendor was an orchestrion roll, sadly! I'm hoping that the Fat Cat mount will at least be MogStation! I'd rather that than Eureka...

My bet is that one of those mounts will be a partnership promotion campaign with amazon again (like happens with the cloud mount and maid outfit).

I want this fat cat \(0w0)/ come giant cat !!!!

Achievement points would be my preferred method to obtain this mount. I have over 8,000 points and nothing to spend them on.

All the store mounts use the same music now, and that track is assigned to the carpet. The cat is an enigma.

Just one of the few bones that they threw at us to justify the change and not make it look so obvious. On the long run you can't compare it to what the veteran rewards offered, at all.

I'll even expand more on this. Not only did they see that people will throw money at the Mog Station without second thoughts, but they also noticed that they can entice people to stay subbed with the housing demolition timer instead of offering rewards (penalty vs reward, both are ways to keep someone paying). That's why I don't expect housing to ever be fixed other than getting a few new shards here and there. Why "waste" money in giving customers gifts to build customer fidelity when you can make them stay subbed while not investing money in actually improving one of the most controversial systems, and just sell those goodies that you were giving them before? It looks like a win-win situation to me, and something that any company would do (when allowed by their customers) in order to maximize profits. It's the same reason as of why the inventory "limitations" can magically disappear if you pay more, in a model even worse than what F2P games do (additional sub vs a single purchase).

Anyway, this is getting a bit off-topic at this point, so I'll stop here. But yeah, I also think that it will be a Mog Station item.

The patch doesn't hold any info as to how things are obtained unless they have a price with them (like mgp). There are programs one can use to view patch data and models, this isn't actually in the game itself. This is all the info anyone has right now.

Yes I know how the game files work and datamining. So what you're saying is someone pull the data out of the files and did this gif anaimation in a 3rd party program? It looks like it's taken from in the game to me.

Yes. There are programs that allow you to view the content. I don't know what they are or how they work, but the info is out there. The same sorts of gifs were made of the carbuncle mount months before it was released. Of note: the player riding the mount is wearing the BLU AF set, which hasn't even been "released" yet, as we're not getting BLU until next week.

Yeah. So.

Give me the Fatter Cat mount on mogstation now so I can pull a Fry and give you the money.
