Thank you Square for making the first Final Fantasy game I have truly loved since X

I just wanted to thank the Dev team of this game for making a Final Fantasy title I have really enjoyed since the release of FFX. I feel like Square Enix is going away from the classic feel of their original Final Fantasy titles and I was pleasantly surprised by this game to have that original flare and appeal.

I also am grateful to the Dev team for being so responsive to us and taking all of our considerations to heart and trying to make this game enjoyable for everyone. The player polls and forums are something that should be implemented for all of the other final fantasy titles and I would hope to see a poll from Square Enix about the future of their Final Fantasy console games too.

I hope that other Development teams will learn something from this one, and will learn to listen to what the consumers want so that the Final Fantasy name and franchise can be as revered and respected as it was 10 years ago.

I'm hoping for another great 10 years to come.

It was a rough start, but they really have turned this game around. I have been one to say even with the problems this game has had it was still better than the other stuff on the market. Now we have been given the unique opportunity to see and play a game that is changing before our very eyes. I truly hope this game will be an epic one come 2.0.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I think that the Final Fantasy games kind of lost their original feel when Square Enix tried messing with the battle systems. This game to me kind of reminds me of the more classic final fantasy feel, and also I think it is the community that I play with that makes this game much more important to me,

Like I said in my first post, what really impresses me is the Involvement of the development team and their concern for our opinions and views.

I'm kind of sad that the community on the forums is so different from the rest of the game but all of you can make fun of my opinion but I wont change it because I know that things are gonna get even better later.

I think what is is is that I have noticed is a lot of the players even from other countries have similar requests. I know that most things that have gotten a lot of attention from an international player base have been most of what has changed. But I do agree that it does feel like some things end up just getting changed too quickly.

congratulations, is one of the first positive post i´ve seen lately, they´re doing a great job, i hope they add more epic stuff soon.

though I loved FFXI and vanilla wow, the turn around in this game is amazing to be honest. I think they are actually working hard to get this game going.

I think we should list all the things we love about this game and especially why its better than FFX.

I for one love the laggy GUI

Actually, going to Limsa is just like playing FFX because there's not one person there, its just all NPC so you can really feel like you're playing an offline game. In fact almost all of La Noscea is like that! Its aweome!

I'll admit the game has its moments, but I'm not ready to declare victory quite yet >.>;

I like that they listen, but they shouldn't pay attention to everything we say.

Some may call me crazy for saying this.... but ive been playing since beta and i have truly enjoyed the game inside and out. Sure there have been numerous numerous patches since launch and ultimately the game has changed quite a bit since then, but i have enjoyed it all. Only things that i can honestly say bothered me are the battle reforms (was annoying having to get used to new ability names, what each does etc) and the excruciatingly low drop rate for primal weapons (i personally am 7/7 on ifrit, but i have a friend that has 1 ifrit weapon out of 117 wins.) Other than that i am very happy w the game and really like the direction it's going. Its also really awesome too, since us current players are able to experience things ingame now and come 2.0 wont exist anymore.

I dont want to declare victory, I just want to say thank you. I'm not going to go around white knighting this game and saying all other Final Fantasy titles suck and all other MMO's suck. I actually like the setups of some other MMOs and I hope that there will be some similar features from them in this game.

Also in my original post i mean I really liked all of the games before X because of their classic feel, which I feel like this game captures.

Quesse: What Limsa are you walking around in? I see people and It's just stupid that all of the players converge into Ul'dah because of it's location. When Ishgard comes out it's gonna be the new hot spot and everyone else is gonna be there. For the laggy UI I believe that is partially player side, (definitely server side too) after my friend Upgraded his PC he does not have nearly as much lag as his old computer. I don't know what the setup you are running is, nor am I saying that your setup is the cause for your UI lag. All I am saying it can be improved based off of the system that you are running.

i would agree too that the game although it has its moments when theres nothing else to do i've been enjoying the game since day one, yeah at first was a lot of WTF with sp, that guy has 3 levels already and im not even at half level, but learning your way in the game was great, so the NM fights we had at the begining with 16 players at the same time and us archers making multishot as main attack lol, the game has change a lot and i really enjoy the new combo system is like having an extra in long fights.

What i would like them to improve is to have more combos, battle regimen, the incapacitation thing as a main thing in fights, epic fights and good stories, but i feel that we're getting there.

i loved the incaps and would love them putting in more of those that actually helped drop rates or could only get an item by incapping a part off the mob. i love the buffalo because of the only being able to get a drop by taking off its horns.

that also goes to another thing i loved originally that i wish they went back to. the mobs dropping materials to make or upgrade items. it would allow people to use darkhold items and add a piece off a new nm or other mob and upgrade that piece of gear to a better piece of gear. it would also put the economy back to working. nobody makes anything on my server anymore because nobody is buying anything. nobody buys anything because they have the gear dropped made for them off the mobs or from the coffers. at least by dropping materials people would be making things people actually needed so they would be things that sold.

Exactly. It makes me think that nobody really knows how to make a good game. They have to consult those 'other' professionals: those who actually play video games.

I can't really see how you can say you've always enjoyed the game, being as its changed so drastically. Do you love every change that's been made?

I think that each patch has been fun and it is definitely entertaining to see all the changes. Initially I hated some of the patches (such as taking out mob AI and I hated patch 1.20 at first) but looking back I had fun with each one.

I thought i'd just drop by to say my thanks, too. I'm enjoying my time online very much. Every upcoming patch has been worth the wait, and i can't wait to see things really kick off post 2.0, when we get some PvP-content. Keep up the good job, Devs! ^^,
