Black Mage Job-Specific Gear

Was wondering if one small change could be made to the gear.

Is it possible to have the glowing eye on the gear at all times?

Words can't describe how awesome that looks.

I could settle for the glowing eye when casting, or a similar job emote from FFXI with /blackmage.

Please, please, please let me have that awesome glowing eye!

Most Final Fantasy games that have black mages in, they usually have glowing yellow eyes. Then there is this tease that we could have them, but instead give us a plain visible eye. I am hoping that with enough people can get together and see if it can be changed to a glowing yellow eye.

Why wouldn't it? Curious as to why you say this.

I've seen pics both with and without the eye. I believe the first glimpse we saw of blm gears was the concept art, and it did indeed have the glowing eye.

Since then I've kind of been looking forward to having that look, as others have stated, it's sort of the signature look for a BLM in classic FF (there are plenty of counter-examples though). For me it would be kind of a let down to not get the glowing eyes.

I want me a glowing eyeball (a theory is that all blackmages have an eye taken out and replaced with materia to show their strentgh) for all u lore people.

Ahah! I see. I think it would be cool for the eye to glow from the essense of the elemental powers within oneself. A glowing red eye for fire, glowing purple eye for lightning...so on. customization? :P

Hard to say if the concept art is a glowing eye, or just the diamond-shaped hole where the eye is visible as seen in this picture.

While I agree that the glow is cool, I don't think we'll see it happen for PCs. It would look very strange if you had the dark face + glowing eye if you used anything but the BLM coat, though I guess they could do just the glowing eye without the dark face. If they do it, it probably won't be in 'til 2.0, since they were looking into the ability to raise/lower the mask on the WAR hat but said it wouldn't be available until 2.0.

I'd rather the glow be the color if your eye normally, so that if you got green eyes it would be a green glow, etc. :D

Yes let em glow but choose your materia whisley cause you can only change every 24 hours that you are actualy in game! lmao

Could make it a set bonus or something. When you have the full set equipped you get the glowing eyes.

What I expect, honestly, is that the covered eye has a sort of gem on it that glows in twilight.

I think it's actually a spirit of a behemoth, that has looked upon you from the void as you were being born, and has now placed part of itself into your soul, and the magical glowing up is the behemoth looking through his window, deep in the void.

3 options i wouldnt mind
1) set bonus eye glows
2) at night it glows
3) only in Cutscenes it glows

There is like a mask that is part of the hat... thats cool

As a roe, I think I will look super awesome wear full Black Mage gear! Plus the pointy hat makes me EVEN TALLER!
