PLD Pyros weapon stats.

What stats should I be trying to get on the PLD Pyros Sword?

Personally I just aim for pyros weapons to have stat at least on par for its item level. A suzaku sword with melds considered would have 481 secondaries, so I'd settle for around 500 on the pld pyros swords with Crit being most desirable and Ten least desirable. Det and SkS are nice too; I'm not sure if the random stat generator gives any DH for the tank/heal weapons, I think it only picks from 4 potential stats for each job.

I would love to, and actually planned to. But I suddenly found myself in a situation where I'm the caretaker for two disabled family members and I no longer run dungeons or raids. Strangely enough I'm able to log in quite a bit, but at any given moment could have to go afk for a long time and I just don't think it fair to other groups if that happens. So I mess around in Eureka a lot because if I'm in a NM group and have to go afk I'm not really hurting the group. And since I never completed the relic weapon before so I figure this is a good time to see it through.

They might carry over to the last step? Not that it really matters as the hard content is done with for now, but if you're making a relic you may as well make it right.

Not sure if ideal but I finally gave up and stuck with +475 Crit and +100 Det on my PLD sword. Have not yet tried to do stats on the shield(if you even can - no idea since not yet tried as said previously).

Best stats for a casual player crit and direct hit is best for pally if you don't want to raid aim for those

Anyone know what the stat split is between sword and shield?

50/50 500pts on each

Max roll on sword per stat is 143 x 5=715
Max roll on shield per stat is 57 x 5=285

As for stats aim for Crit > Det then to lesser extent Tenacity while you should avoid Skill Speed for the most part.

Do the 5 stats include the base stats such as str and vit? Here's what I have after 8 rolls.

str - 266
vit - 296
crit - 100
det - 225
ten - 79

Before that roll I kept getting a bunch of tenacity with small numbers (under 100) of other stats here and there. Should I keep this?

Main stats (STR and VIT) stay constant and are excluded from the rolls. Only secondary stats are affected by the rolls. Which can roll up to the maximum I posted earlier. Also, should probably roll a bit more, rolls look pretty low.

After 50+ attempts on the sword the best stats I have so far are 379 Det and 121 Skill Speed. After 20 attempts on the shield the best stats so far are 57 Crit and 40 Det. I'm convinced the system hates me lol.

I'm sure it hates everyone equally, except that one japanese guy who got 1000 substats on his katana.

The chances of getting total of 1000 substats are 1/40^5 aka 1 in 102 400 000.
685 is the total that ilv405 Omega weapons have with materia included, so if you get more than that (especially crit), you are doing pretty well.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I think it has been confirmed the stats from pyros won't really matter for the final step anyway.

It's been confirmed stats from pyros will carry over...you won't have to worry about re-rolling stats while progressing the final step, but once completed, you can re-roll stats again.
