is there a skirt for male character models?

I recently have been tried the Uraeus Skirt for my character which looks really cute but I've noticed a problem. The underside for the skirt doesn't render for male models. so my butt is literally the void.

Is there any skirt that male character models can wear that actually have full rendering. asides from stuff like the long 'plain skirt'? I honestly don't want to switch to a female character just to have access to stuff that's gender locked

Is it not rendering or is it black shorts? Cuz I'm pretty sure thats what it is on females.

Perhaps the Fuga Haori...?

There are also the Lv50 Demon Skirts of Casting/Healing from the World of Darkness raid, and Lv70 Indigo Ramie dyeable versions.

The Fuga outfit (one of the expensive ones from Mog Station) probably isn't worth it unless you want that style of 'skirt' available to all classes. You can get similar hakama for mages from the Centurio Seal exchange in Ishgard, which are dyeable once upgraded in Idyllshire. Or there's an undyeable version as part of the samurai starter gear.

From the list Bacent posted, it's worth pointing out that unlike most of the kilts being knee- or calf-length, the Ruby Cotton and Valerian Wizard's Longkilts (plus the Eikon Cloth Culottes of Healing / Brais of Casting, all with the same model) are floor-length and with tights underneath.

You're not alone, nobody's butt renders in this game.

Unfortunately, they are only for tanks, DRG, MNK, and SAM and even then they are 60+. I wish we could have a proper pleated knee length kilt usable by all; alas none of the "kilt" or "skirt" named pieces are what I'm looking for.

The SB-sektion in the Wolves' Den has some roman style gear.

If you are in the Immortal Flames, their hunt seal caster leg slot is kind of a skirt? It looks the same on males as it does females:

Trying to work with no pants or shorts with an alt and there's really not a lot of options, especially if you want to avoid the subligar.

The direwolf skirt/brand new skirt is the same length as Uraeus, but for male characters it also comes with a pair of pants.

Boarskin Skirt, as well, but it comes with leggings. Used it for a long time in my glamours before Uraeus became available.

Both of them, I felt, though, were inferior to the Foestriker's and Acolyte's Skirts in appearance - but, sadly, those skirts are not dyeable... Still useful if you don't mind that your color choices are limited to white or black (and class-locked to DoW and DoM, respectively).

Although it's a full length skirt, there is the "Plain Long Skirt" which is the unisex version of the Spring Skirt, but with the wrap of the skirt mirrored.

Browsing through the marketboard (with my male alt character to be sure it's not gender-varied), there is also:

- Lv70 Rakshasa hakama for DPS classes

- Lv70 True Linen Skirt of Fending

- Lv60 Sky Pirate's Bottoms of Casting/Healing are not skirts, but very short shorts with tights underneath so possibly within the realm of what you're looking for.

- Lv60 Griffin Leather Skirt of Fending/Maiming
- Lv61 Ghost Barque Skirt of Striking (from the Sirensong Sea) has the same model

- Lv60 Chimerical Felt Breeches of Fending - also not a skirt (short shorts with a draped thingy at the front, and long socks) but would look like one under a coat.





Or with pants underneath:

- Lv60 Chimerical Felt Skirt // Lv55 Ramie Skirt
(crafting gear equippable by all classes, same model but different dyeing effect)

Even the shortest of the longkilts goes lower than knee-length, though. Compare to the griffin leather skirt of fending / griffin leather skirt of maiming / ghost barque skirt of striking:
