Limited Job Tanking

Limited jobs as a concept SUCKS! I hope SE never does this again!

I'd be fine seeing Puppet Master, but untill the AI is fixed on the current pet system to make them more responsive then it still needs a lot of work, and could mean other Limited Jobs might come first. Alright sure in solo content it might not be as big of a deal, but in other group stuff it could have issues as a tank.

Limited Jobs don't fit in any role, blu mage use caster for glamour purposes but is not a dps technicaly, you can't creare a limited job tank or healer if they are supose to be alone in his own duty.

Every job is a dps with more or less defensive skills and more or less healing skills in solo content, only on party content they use they maximun potential as tank, healers and dps, blu is not a dps bcs is a job that can't play with others its just role-less, you can't desing a limited job with fully tanking or healing capabilitys if there is no party to protect or heal.

I don't think limited Jobs Will be competitive Jobs by how BLU is designed, there is no way a job with 50 and more skills get in to the job balance and if It comes as a competitive job it will be as a new one complety independent and not like the current one we are going to get.

Being on a Party dosen't mean its belong to a specific role, BLU can't go to matchmaking since don't have a role to being with, its a job designed to single players so its don't needs any role for It, about dutys i know BLU can go to his unique dutys but devs where not clear about the others apart of can't go in to dutys that require matcaking, like dungeons and old raids.

The point of limited Jobs is fit certain Jobs it in the Game without the requeriments of ffxiv combat system including the role system by default since they are played solo due his gathering mechanics to get skills and the huge amount of options are supose to have, so its pointless make a limited job more limited with the role system when its supose to have more freedom there to compensate being a "límites job".

Blue mage isn't a DPS though. It's whatever spells you have learned and used. Blue mage doesn't fit the holy Trinity because it can use monster abilities, like if they steal all the healing abilities it can heal same with tanking abilities, it can tank.

Hopefully they won't ever make a limited job again, I think.

The devs have supposedly made it clear that it's not just Masked Carnivale you can do but also party finder. The only reason they locked people out of duty finder is because BLU have different skills regardless of level, which allows them to queue for example a Lv35 instance with only 5 skills.

And this is just limited to BLU.

The reason why BST and PUP is going to be made into Limited Jobs on the other hand, is an entirely different arguement. Because they are pet jobs. They already haven't done SMN justice yet and adding more "actual" pet jobs would be difficult. Assigning job roles for these 2 are fairly easier than BLU. That's why I put up a "pet job" that utilizes the system they have now, without it being too out of place.

you asume to much from a job you don't know nothing about how operates since the info we have is pretty limited, BLU is not limited bcs you can go to duty finder with 2 skills, the whole system around how BLU is build and they combat system will be pretty diferent compared to the normal jobs, the devs are very specific, BLU is a solo job, is not mean in any way to work with regular jobs for pasive and for active despite they will be stand together in open world.

probably BST and PUP will use a large amount of monsters and puppets and take advantage of all of then in combat or something similar since both jobs shares the same "gathering" mechanics like BLU, if both jobs are limited in the amount of monsters or puppets they will get then just add it as a regular jobs and move along, there is no reason to make those jobs limited jobs if there is nothing that hold it to being regular jobs, add roles to PUP and BST and being at the same time "limited jobs" don't make sense at all.

It'll be forever given how Blu works and play style but yes It can group as long as it use Party Finder just not Deep Dungeon or PVP. What they mean by Solo Jobs is that it will be getting all it's XP out in the field and even though it can do Dungeons it will get very little XP or the group will not get bonus for having a Blue Mage in their group while in Dungeons they are favoring out of Dungeon Contain for the Blue Mage instead.

Limited jobs dont have roles, so they will always be DPS. So in this case puppetmaster, beast master, and onion knight will be limited jobs.

welp, looks like my fear was justified, people actively asking for unfinished jobs, as soon as I read about blue mage I knew this day would come.

My thoughts are BLU tanking is just a novelty the 40% reduction does barely anything when you're wearing cloth, Diamondback can be interrupted and you can't do anything while its happening, has no Provoke, no tank CDs other than Diamondback, Bad Breath is its only damage reduction ability other than that yeah it has nothing going for it.

It's a DPS primarily and it can't do that well, it can heal okayish kind of but it can't shield or regen or reduce damage taken of party members so it's not a great healer either, if this is the power of limited jobs it can't really fill any role and is stuck in 4 year old content.

Big NO NO.
I dont want any tank class limited, i want more of them that work like a normal job.

Let's never have another butchered job again, how's that for revolutionary thinking?
