Anyone else who would like this added ?
Reason I ask is when I go to repair my own gear it would save me having to scroll through my inventory to find the items that require fixing.
It would save time putting them up for bazaar repairs also.

Add the ability to sort by class that repairs it, and you got yourself a deal.
eg;
LTW 14%
LTW 22%
LTW 97%
CRP 2%
CRP 77%
GLD 44%
GLD 99%
Otherwise you will be scrolling through the list anyway to find the stuff to repair by its repair tool:
BSM 5%
LTW 17%
GLD 66%
BSM 67%
WVR 70%
BSM 77%
ARM 90%
LTW 96%
(in your method, repairing say, the BSM items would be just as pointless)
I support this, sometimes you don't want to go into a fight at 20% only to have your gear break mid-fight.
yes please for love of god i hate trying to find all my broken pieces to fix.
Actually I would really use something like this because more often than not I forget to repair something, then switch class and when it's time to switch back to the class I was on previously I find myself with broken or close to broken gear.
Sorting it out while in front of the repair NPC would be convenient.
Yup, would love this, I don't often bother to manually mouseover each piece of gear I have equipped before a battle and if I get KO'd the gap from 'yellow' damage to 'red' is small enough I have reappeared and the Aetheryte with red level gear damage.
Having so much armour and other gear for each class also makes this frustrating, I don't know how the gear goes at higher levels but I have SO much gear right now I don't remember how I ever coped with 99 inventory slots, I think I have about 30 at the moment on gear and then you need crafting materials etc.
I don't care if we can sort it. I'd rather have a "Repair all at or under x% durability" option (where you can actually set the x%). Even if they sort, you still have to click on each one. Screw that.
Not really... I don't care to actually see what gear I'm about to repair. I just want a button that brings up a menu that says "Repair all gear of X% durability or less". Hit OK and bam, I've just repaired everything in my inventory that falls under my current class and specified durability setting.
I would put it in the Gear menu above or below the 'request repairs' button. Maybe it would have a check box that says repair only equipped gear or repair everything in inventory, a thing to set the durability threshold, and an ok/cancel button.
Example:

On second thought, you can probably nix the checkboxes since you have to change classes to perform repairs, or even better, keep the checkboxes and allow you to perform repairs without actually getting on the required crafting class.
That sounds more complicated than what I have above tbh, especially for new players.
There is no reason to set X% durability when you can repair all red and yellow in one go unless you want to waste money repairing items above the yellow threshold.
You could easily select "request repairs" and "select all", or highlight the items you want fixed.
Yea I'm thinking it should only show Yellow and Red damaged items.
Edited my previous post with an image of what I was referring to. I will repost it here too, since we're on a new page.
This is what I meant:

Ahh yea I like that idea, now that I can see what you mean.
yes please add sort by repair class and durability
or/and allow sort durability and make it possible to reapair without having to change job
are the devs reading this?
How about a "Repair everything" button? Just change class and hit one button and everything's good to go!
Good news!
In patch 1.22c we will be adding the below two items to the sort feature for your inventory:
- Durability: low to high
- Spirit Bond: high to low
(Please note the English category names are not yet finalized.)
Heck yay! I want this... so bad. I mentioned it in the crafting section the other day.
Wow, such a small change will make my life about a thousand times easier.
I'm strongly against this change. Ruins immersion. Please do not add it.
Thank you.
Please make sure you can toggle off this sort of durability because toggle is cool.
Yes plz. Beats the hell out of searching through 200 pieces of gear to repair one or two.
how about a repair button that just repairs alll the item of the craft currently on- Including gear on - thank you. just a SINGLE button make it easier instead of 100000 options ._.
Ideally there should be a repair menu that only brings up damaged gear.
You should also be able to repair the gear while on any class as long as you have the required class/rank on your character.
E.G. I can repair my rings while on carpenter, but only if my goldsmith is high enough.
I dunno about other people but I'd like a tab system to go with the sorting system. Tab A: Gear Sort: Weapons First; Gear First; by level Tab B: Materials Sort: by Quantity, by Type (which I think it already does this) and Tab C: Consumable items like food and potions and obviously you would have an all tab. 200 unique items to scroll through can be daunting, and yes I know materials are separated from gear but it'd be nice to scroll to the bottom to get tot he mats I know would be there rather then skipping down into the gear and vice versa. I dunno maybe I'm the only one who thinks like that, not a necessary function but would be nice ^_^
Hey everyone!
We Just wanted to give you some insight about the current plans for inventory management:
In 2.0, items will be stored in a 5x5 bag. When viewing the contents of the bag, it is possible to display them in a list with the most important items sorted on top.
In addition, when repairing items, the list will display items that can be repaired at the crafter's current level. The items in worst condition will be displayed at the top.
We may also consider additional sorting functions if there are enough requests, so please let us know what you think. :)
And allow us to repair our own damaged gear even if we are wearing it please.
So what your saying is there still isnt going to be enough item slots in 2.0?
& are you still going to cut down the slots inthe retainers?
Could you please smack the developers up the side of the head on my behalf if this is the case! Then get them to look at the number of items involved in the game, from the items you get from DOL, DOH, battle. ~materia & catalyst.
Also if dated recipes are being removed in 2.0 ~ you will need multipul sets of 2~6 different items from both DOL & battle to make 1 item, just to start leveling up your DOH. & those items from the new recipes take up 1 slot each time you make them since they dont stack.
Also if no changes are done to the current way they level up you will need to do an average of around 60 crafts (at around lvl 25 just to get 1 level) (without any buffs as its the best balanced way to look at it) & now times that by 6 or 7 different crafts your leveling. you do the maths on items needed + item produced & slots used on top of a already full inventory.
Arguably you dont need to level them all up at the same time but in the same respect you should be able to.
Then you have DOL tools, clothes, DOH tools clothes, Battle weapons clothes classes & jobs & also as your leveling them up you have items from 2 different leveled weapons/tools you need to carry until you level up.
More info would be nice :) because as it stands 2.0 it doesnt look good. & as it is pre 2.0 it could be better.
