i'm kind of concerned myself because he has been getting sick a lot. I think SE and the FFXIV community is pushing him to his death basically.
yea, i heard tanaka is currently running things while he recoups, lol
Or perhaps they're just building to a large announcement?
'It is pointless to be afraid of that which has already happened or you cannot avoid'
Which would be fine. By the way, Yoshida already stated lodestone updates are slow due to the chaos the server merge caused behind the scenes. Ontop of that people bitched abiut the first one so they had to scramble to work out if another plan could work.
So essentially, there's a good chance the team behind server merges are also the ones running lodestone.
It's been what, a week? Geez, take a xanax. Relax. As it is, they posted today that they are QAing the job quests, after which they can give a date for the patch. People act like it's been a month or two without any update.
People act like it's been a year when a patch is released and they don't immediately hear about the next one even before they're finished updating.

Rumors and gossip, nothing more. Don't be so dramatic just because you didn't hear any new info for a couple days.
I know right, it wasnt meant to be me freakin out about the silence and i dont need pills. But as close as it is to the update and knowing Yoshi has had alot of sickness lately its more me hopin hes ok than anything.
Im not the one who seems to need the pill, chill pickles
Oh. This isn't a thread about me after all.
Disaster averted.
>_>
I would say his smoking habit is pushing him to his death.
You people are preposterous.
Maybe this will help:

I love how you cant even show concern for someone on the forums without ppl being drama queens and still feel it is of utmost importance to troll or just be a dbag
Whine - the most over- and misused word on this forum
Is it an American thing to assume someone is whining when in fact they are just having an opinion ?
I find it kind of strange.
yes it sure is
There is the fact that Yoshi complains about SOMETHING at the start of every letter.
Don't get me wrong, if there's a genuine issue, we want him to be okay, and he should take all the time off he needs. He's also likely making well into six figures (in the American sense) to do this job, so if he's just got allergies, well, I feel bad, but if it's hindering his six figure job so much, then he needs to step aside.
And again, if he's really in serious condition, that's another story. He just tends to cry wolf, so it's hard to tell.
See I don't see it that way.
The only times I have seen him mention him being ill is in an apologetic way for not meeting the patch dead line or when he is just making idol chit chat. (which he likes to do a lot)
We all see things different ways, so I can't argue your personal take on it. :)
Still, making idle chit chat does not mean you're not whining in the process, and when using it as an apology, it becomes an "excuse", which isn't much better then straight whining.
Being sick or tired is just so consistently a theme in his letters, it's hard not to see it as crying wolf or whining. Maybe it's his translators taking too many liberties or something, I'm open to that idea, and my Japanese just isn't good enough to really get a feel for the intent behind the original writing.
