Requesting an LP season for 4.5-4.55

We are requesting that SE implements another Light Party (LP) season, preferably in patch 4.5 before the next expansion.

Currently there is no active LP season for ranked Feast; you can queue for it, but there is no leaderboard or rewards. With the positive reception of the Feast Regional Championship, interest is high and this would be a great opportunity to allow players to team up with their friends and give team ranked a go.

However, we ask that SE use this opportunity to test a queue-windowed system. This means that it would only be possible to queue for team ranked on particular days and times each week (ex. Friday and Saturday from 6-12PM EST for Aether & Primal). Outside of these queue windows, teams can still queue but no points towards their rating would be awarded. The purpose of this would be to:

1. Funnel all teams to queue at the same time and keep queues active.

2. Prevent teams from possibly wintrading.

Rewards could be handed out to the top 10 teams on each datacenter, and be similar to those of solo queue (recolored mount/armor).

We hope that SE continues to support team play in PvP!

I'm DYING for more official LP action after FRC. I also see a lot of people asking for LP action in some of the discords, even our community ran event where we do pick up Light Party matches is a huge hit.

The want is there! We just need SE to help. They don't even have to do much, there are so many of us in the community willing to make this work.

If we will have an LP season I just hope the matchmaking would be something similar to current solo queue :p Its kinda odd that platinum teams can be placed against a freshly formed team with 0 rating.

Queues would be too long I think mate.

Yes please! LP is a lot more fun than solo imo, would be nice to have both like s1-4 did!

I am really looking forward to keeping the team based pvp moving in a positive direction after a successful FRC. Strike while the iron is hot!

I don't think I'm a sick BRD, but I'm definitely Diamond capable. However I can't even get into matches with players that I can actually win with, after 100 games in Silver as main I went NIN for about an hour and got promoted losing just one game because I countered the problem I had as Range - bad quality melees. It was easier to win games with less competent ranges than it was with less competent melees in Silver. Went straight back to BRD, lost one in my last 10 because now I can play with plats and not NINs that play things like bolt conc and purify recup.

That's like the biggest issue with Solo Q in FFXIV, Solo Q works in games like League and Dota because the pool has more players, skill level is more even and you have strong carry potential on your own. Can't necessarily win games on your own but you can give your team a win on a plate, all they have to is take it. Any decent tier players on that game can log on a Bronze V account and climb multiple tiers per promo at a time due to ramping up the hell out of their MMR by just carrying every game on their own. Solo FFXIV you don't have any carry potential on your own for the most part, in the old system you did. I remember in HW I used to watch inexperienced healers get solo'd by MNKs and SMNs on a regular basis, I joined my first ever feast season late and climbed to Plat in less than a week because I would just blow up people as SMN since they couldn't read burst like someone in Plat would. There's no MMR system here at all, had I still started in Silver, but carried over Plat MMR from last season I wouldn't have wasted like 2 weeks.

I think a LP season is in order even if they don't give top team rewards for it because people want to take this mode seriously and solo doesn't offer the same decision making as LP does.

Also a que window for LP is a fantastic idea.
