Soken asked if the Warring Lanner should have it's music changed.

Sephirot's mount currently plays the first part of the theme. The only mount that does.
People keep requesting it to play the second part. So he asked to discuss it here.

I think it should be changed.
Throw the first part music on Firebird perhaps.

I don't really see the harm in it, but they supposedly got into some copyright trouble or something so I can understand why they are hesitant. It's already in the game though, so...why not?

I'd prefer the second part of the theme because it's infinitely more iconic. The first part is just kinda boring and like you said would be better suited for the Firebird.

Yes, please. His counter-argument didn't make sense. Suzaku, Byakko and the next primal will not have first phase. Sephirot was a special case because of the whole copying claim.

In the end, we would all prefer the second phase. Thank you.

They never got into any copyright trouble, or it would have been removed.

Someone threw a fit over the music having a similar tune, thats all. if it was really an issue, it wouldnt have faded away like that.

Yeah, it just feels like a pattern is broken without his theme.

It's in the game in the fight itself, in the orchestrion roll (albeit a different version), and it's on the official soundtrack. If it were copyright, this would not have been left in the game, let alone released on the OST.

I'm in favor of putting Fiend on the bird. It's one of my favorite tracks. Where to put the old music given that it was already on the mount tho, is the real question I guess. But I want Fiend on the Warring Lanner

Fair enough, which is why I said "supposedly". I had no concrete facts to back up a rumor. You and someone else above are right though, it would have been removed if there was legal trouble. But it is still there, so again, why not add it to its respective mount?

Please change it! I loved the sephirot music, and I’m really sad it didn’t play when I rode the bird. The music in the first half of the fight isn’t my favorite. Just not a huge fan, so I wouldn’t care if none of the triad mounts played it.

Very much in favour of changing it aswell and making the Bird play the second phase theme!

I also like the suggestions of giving the Firebird the first phase theme instead of whatever its playing right now - I assume its the generic flying mount theme from HW though, which can easly be taken away since there are enough mounts playing that anyways (kinda of the opinion that mounts dont need to share music and that each mount should have a unique theme - unique as in "only this mount plays it" not in "a new theme created for this mount")

I never bothered to get the bird mount from Sephirot because it had first phase music. I'm all for the change to second phase music on the primal bird mount (and would make an effort to attain said mount with that music).

Change it for the phase 2 music, then put the phase 1 music on the Firebird. Simple.

Yes! Besides, they're not asking us to consider logistics. Logistics are their concern. They're asking us to state our opinions on if the music should be added to the bird. If you don't want it, say no, if you do, say yes. Don't talk yourself out of a "yes" opinion (or try to talk others out of it) - if they want to know if we want it, there's a good chance they can change it. (And if not, it doesn't matter anyway, so we can at least make our opinions known.)

I am wholeheartedly for changing it. I like the firebird's music so it won't kill me if they don't add the warring theme to it, but if they do, that won't hurt either.

However, I must be one of the few who loves the first part music. It gave me Atma Weapon nostalgia from ff6 the first time I heard it. I'd like if they put that music on another mount if they change it.

To be fair, they're already changing the thematic look of the mounts with this new wolf, that's bright and fuchsia/white, and who knows what music? Still, I do like Prelude, so I don't mind keeping it on the Firebird, since it's a more-elabourate version than the Kirin has.

The last wolf you'll get at the end of the expansion (with all 7 wolves) will probably use some sort of version from the current login screen, that's the only logical thing i can think of right now.

I'm in 100% support putting Fiend on the Warring Lanner! It's my favorite Primal song in game and it's disappointing to know that it doesn't have it on there.
The firebird could use the first phase as others have stated as well.

Add the Ultima Beast from Fractal HM as a Nightmare-style drop from the three Warring Triad fights and give it the theme. It played the "big boss" Triad theme in FFVI too. And it's awesome.

Using Proto-Ultima as a mount would also work, since its design is also heavily inspired by FFVI's Ultima Weapon. And it is also awesome.

I agree to the song change as well. While the devs are at it, they should change the name of the Warring Lanner's name too since "Warring" applies to all 3 members of the Warring Triad.

Please Do change it - I was personally so hyped and had that OH YES MOMENT! *clenched fist* when I got the bird - The fight still cannot be beat by some players - it is a very YES moment to get the mount.

Sef's own theme is SO much better than the stupid generic Warring Triad theme. If you still want to preserve that, maybe move it to that phoenix mount or something? Or just orchestrion. That would be enough already.

I think each bird/pony should 50/50 chance that it'll either play the first part or 2nd part (if applicable)

Fiend is atrocious imo, but it would make more sense for it to be in line with all the other ones.

Please don't put Battle to the Death on firebird, though. Doesn't suit it at all.

Absolutely change it. Those mounts are meant to play the Primals distinct theme.

Although ideally I'd rather just have an Orchestrion built into the back of all mounts, but I guess there are some technical difficulties with that.

id much prefer Fiend to be on the Warring Lanner, and i think an easy way to give both camps their music is an all black Lanner similar to the Nightmare mount that plays Battle to the Death, obtained in a similar manner to Nightmare

I'm all about having Fiend on the Warring Lanner. Another option is to have an Atma Weapon mount from VI and use the Warring Triad theme as Atma did share the music.

that would be awesome, and i think atma weapon uses behemoths skeleton so they might be able to reskin the behemoth mount into atma and that would save on dev time

Change it and have Battle to the Death added to a new bird that can drop from all of the Heavensward primals, similar to how Nightmare could drop in ARR. Alternatively, they make it an Ultima Beast like Lusavari just suggested.

All for using the second half of the music. Warring Triad's theme is great, but we hear it enough from just doing the three trials.
