Why can't we still not enjoy environmental interaction like the one that has long been added to WoW already and exists in if I'm not mistaken all modern MMORPG out there today?
Why can't my Chocobo have the convenience of the grass massaging its feet in 2019?
Why is this happening?
Is my character not in the same dimension as the world it is in?
Even my character on my first Pokemon in the first Gameboy's days would have the grass around it react when it is moving
Is the FFXIV team struggling with a very unfortunate engine?

Honestly.. I'd rather have less invisible walls and the possibility, to actually fall down the obvious you-jump-you-die-edges, then having grass interact with me cyberbootey.

Some of it does. You can see your (or your mount) footprints in sand and snow.
