So let's start a pool on where it will be acquired. I say super low chance from a super low chance box in pyros.

Hopefully it'll be very rare and can be sold for a decent amount as a consequence. If the developers are going to obsessively add feminine/androgynous hairstyles at the cost of masculine hairstyles then the least they can do is make them hard to acquire so those who don't plan to use them can make some decent coin.

My hope would be MGP as I have a couple million points just sitting there :p My fear would be allied seals, or something hunt related.

Yup my bet on pyros. Rare drop in a special chest, just like that emote in Pagos.

Considering their track record, it’s either PvP or an ungodly low chance from Pyros exclusive lockboxes.

I hope they keep any and all emotes and hairstyles out of Eureka. Yes, dev. team, you made Pagos a nightmare and no, I will not let you forget it. Ever.

My level in Eureka is only about 7, I've never touched the 2nd half. I really hope it doesn't go there D:

There are too many rare fluff items already. They need to stop making the game an RNG nightmare.

Why not just put it in by default like with previous hairstyles. Kind of tired of having to deal with RNGsus or being forced into content I have no real interest in for a non-gear related cosmetic item.

Because they're desperately trying to incentivize content people otherwise won't do. If this hairstyle does drop in Pyros, and it has a low drop rate, it's a giant neon sign screaming "PLEASE. PLEASE DO THIS CONTENT." For people still defending Eureka, they wouldn't throw in a coveted hairstyle if Eureka were doing fine. Why? It'd be like the T-Rex mount; everyone would have it by virtue of doing the content anyway. The whole reason they're going for a heavy RNG route is because people don't want to touch Eureka anymore.

And on the other hand you have a ton of people who still refuse to go in there no matter what they put in there. But yeah it screams "go in there people, we know its shit but we have something for you if you do it..if you are lucky".

Didn't mind that as much with Heaven on High, since it was immediately accessible. But with Pyros you still have to slug through Anemic and Pathos. I really hope to God they subvert our expectations and make it a default character creator hair.

I don't really mind because PotD or Hoh are way more entertaining than this eureka mess, especially if you do the challenge floors.

It will be in a heat-sealed super rare 1% lockbox that you can only get if you face northeast during a full moon and use the /sweat emote at precisely 12pm Eorzean time.

MGP. However I wouldnt be surprised if they put it in Pyros to get people back to Eureka

Hey now . . . I've opened over 3000 lock boxes, have 8 weapons, and have never seen the T-rex. Only seen 1 red mage barding as well.

And of course the moment I post that, within 5 boxes T-Rex Mount SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It's the only way to guarantee that they're useful to everybody. If they're going to be designed to be overly feminine, then anyone who plays a character with masculine aesthetics is going to be screwed over. By making them rare and able to be sold on the market board then at least people playing a male character get some use of them even if they're not actually using the item themselves.

Alternatively we could just get more masculine hairstyles to combat the disparity, but given that Hien's outfit didn't come with Hien's hairstyle despite that being perfect for a unisex masculine hairstyle...I'm not going to hold my breath. Also according to a recent interview we can't get Zenos' hairstyle, either, because he's a 'villain'. (Not that it stopped them adding Edda's dress despite her being an antagonist...or the Heaven's Ward glamours despite them being antagonists as well.)

Debatable. A lot of recent hairstyles have been more on the feminine/androgynous side despite a decent number of people asking for more masculine hairstyles and things such as facial hair, too. In the past, it wasn't so bad as we got more than two hairstyles with each new patch and they were typically designed to fit a broader range of character models as well.

Which was the "masculine" one? I don't recall.

While I also miss having 4-6 styles released per patch, it has literally been 2 patches since we had double feminine hairstyles, and that was the only SB patch where were had 2 feminine hairstyles.
4.4 = anime boy mullet + anime girl braid
4.3 = vaan + big ponytail
4.2 = asahi + hime cut
4.1 = hien knockoff hair + meatball buns
4.0 = wol MNK hair + anime fluff hair

I get you have a specific aesthetic for your characters, but you're really over exaggerating the supposed feminine favoritism in the hair department

This actually angered me something fierce! Not everyone likes PvP, but everyone likes new hairstyles. PvP rewards should not ever involve character customization rewards beyond gear and I really hope that they have learned from this.

People have been asking for PvP to be more rewarding for quite some time. The hairstyles tied to PvP are incredibly easy to get. You...don't even need to win a match to earn Wolf Marks.
