I am disappointed about the non existent costumes. I was looking forward to some new stuff :v
I mean, the minions and housing items are nice, buuut.. without some costumes it doesn't feel right.

They could have done a lot better with design on the paw prints, I'm disappointed. I agree it would have been nice to have an outfit or even a mount.

I bet it is the same Haunted House event we've had twice now. While that event was really fun, I hope they find some way to freshen it up a bit this year.

Heh, and it wouldn't be the first reference to that song in the game (the siren that appears in the background during the instanced fight against undead in the Ship Graveyard on the Isles of Umbra during the 2.0 story recites broken but still legibile lyrics from that song.).

Either way, Ferne's wry sense of humour (and passion for pop culture references) is still strong with this I see. :D

The pawprints just seem out of place as well as them barely resembling pawprints. I am happy to finally have the ghost decorations as something in the game. I think I would have rather had them as decorations but I will enjoy them as minions too.

As for no clothing items, I'm not bothered by it, but it would be neat to have design contests for them if they're running out of ideas. With the other design contests people come up with some pretty cool stuff and it would be fun to see that done with the holiday events.

No new costumes? Instead we get paw prints??? Someone is completely out of touch with what we expect for this event. At least people who are new and haven't had a chance to get the older costumes will be able to do so this year, but that's not an excuse for not making a new costume. Frankenstein, mummies, zombies, scarecrows, etc...there's so many different things they could've done but instead we get forgettable housing decorations and 2 minions that look exactly like each other.

I agree there's a lot of really creative people in this community that could help brainstorm some ideas if they're having trouble. I mean think about all the different options we could have, frog / toad, bat, werewolf, black cat, even a flying cauldron and that's just off the top of my head any of those to be mounts or minions .There could be mummy outfits. Creature from the Blue Lagoon kind of Swamp Thing outfit.. :(

You can use them in apartments as well. Outdoor furniture is house-only, while I do not think those are generally given with events (Monster Hunter collaboration aside).

That's like saying "only so few people have a minion out" or "just a fraction uses orchestrion scrolls", and so on. I bet most of the playerbase actually doesn't participates in events, so why even do them? Because some people still enjoy them, as much as some enjoy minions, glamours, housing items, whatever. Can't please everyone.
(And if you think about housing as in house, then yes. But there are still apartments/FC rooms.)

I was thinking as well that it's sad that there are no glamour items. Then I remembered that I have like 300 items stored/saved and some see daylight once a year. So it's the same as minions.

I think the paw prints look like a ton of the paper cutout decorations I've seen used at schools/kids halloween parties and are rather fitting. We could stand to have a few more outdoor decorations though. I get really jealous looking at all the decorations in the outdoor areas of the ward and major cities while I have a toothpick jack-o-lantern on display.

I agree, because Halloween costumes! I'd rather have glamour for Halloween than Christmas but thats just me. :)

This would have been a good opportunity to give us Tifa outfit for Halloween, it has such a simple design so it would have been really easy to put in the game.

I'd have preferred paw prints as a floor decoration rather than a wall decoration, but they're kind of cute. A ghost minion could be cool, though I have no idea why they decided to give us two of them that are practically identical. Overall, the rewards are kind of meh, but maybe the event itself will be fun.

Where did you hear this? I'm not new, but last year I procrastinated too long, thinking I'd get around to the event later until the last few days of the event real life got busy and I missed it. The ghosts are cute (will literally never use the housing stuff) but no new glam is kinda disappointing after how good last years were. The werewolf ears are pretty much permanent glams on my miqos.

I think he meant they'd be added to mogstation.

I can only imagine that they're talking about the standard "older rewards may be available for purchase" disclaimer, but those are only ever about the things like the pumpkin prisms, etc. All of the prior costumes and the broom are on the mog station for $ and I'm 110% certain that's how they'll make the werewolf outfit available, as well, same with the foodstuffs, the candelabra, the pumpkins.

RE previous comments: I doubt they'd ever add in crossover character outfits as "costumes", and while I do agree that there are still standard halloween-style costumes we could get and haven't yet, I think the minions are cute. I'm disappointed in no costumes, but overall I'd rather have minions than yet another poster. I hope they interact with each other!
