Is it possible to use it without falling off? I tried it even with 1 foot off the edge of the center hole and it still makes me fall off.

You could always just....not use it lol
Not using it doesn't effect dps enough to worry about and you're likely taking more of a dps loss just trying to position for it rather than just skipping it all together.
Other than doing a wonky manual camera face away displacement, probably not.
The arena diameter is literally 0.0001y too small to Displace. Standing right up on her, your foot will land on the edge of the arena and then you'll bounce off it.
Indeed OP, you're brave Sir. I'm echoing what the other posters have responded... I'm just wondering why use Displacement there in the first place? The arena is a little restricted, innit?
Yes, it is possible. The arena from the centre is 15.5 yalms long, so you won't fall off if you edge near the hole in the middle before using it.
It's not really bad when you get used to it, it's less spooky than it looks.
I've never fallen off by using it as close to the center of the circle as possible. I play Roegadyn too, so it looks extra scary, but it works. Now if I can just figure out how to Displacement on the Level Checker in Omega...
I've used displacement many times in each of my 30 clears, and I only fell off once because I wasn't careful enough.
There's room, but it does admittedly make me clench each time. The thing I do for that parse...
I'm gonna be honest here, I stop bothering with displacement after the walls go away. ...heh.
I have gotten pretty okay at lining myself up for it without falling off either edge.
I move up close-ish to the center and then slide across to the side if I'm not close enough. Like if I'm towards the SW I'll get fairly close then move directly east to line myself up with the very southern tip of the circle. From there it's been really safe even with lag.
Really wish they'd get rid of the damage from Displacement and put it somewhere else. This games encounters are made with melee in mind so going out to long range isn't really practical.
I don't really RDM in Ex trials or Savage raids these days, but based on the experience I've had with several fights with fall hazards my recommendation would be that it probably is usable, but highly inadvisable. Heck, with the donut hole in play at the arena's center, I'm not even sure I would trust Corps-a-corps either, but it's probably far more viable than Displacement since (unless she's positioned slightly off somehow) you should stop moving once you're right next to her rather than under her.
The other night I died from corps-a-corps because the MT went north to soak their tower then the boss doesn't naturally recenter herself until she casts a knockback/draw in I think.
Was very embarrassing.
You do from the innter edge to the outer edge. It's a pain but doable. Half of you character model will be outside of the arena but you won't fall.
