Am I the only one that wants dark knight? If they add dark knight what class do you thik it will come from, and what role in party do you think it will suit? I hope that if they make it they make it look like Cecil from ffiv.

No, you're definitely not the only one. Dark Knight, Thief, Ninja, Samurai, Summoner, Geomancer, etc., are all desired by the player base. The same goes for more iconic weapon classes. It's just a matter of time before we start seeing them.

I miss playing DRK. Given our current class setup, I can only see a DRK in FFXIV branching from a greatsword-wielding gladiator. It just seems like an easier implementation than scythe, which would either be shoehorned into an "axe" of sorts, or a completely new, and arguably unnecessary battle class.

Only FF11 had Dark Knights using scythes. Honestly, I would like a sword and shield dark knight. Cecil from FFIV, FFII for states side, used a sword and a shield as a dark knight and he is one of the iconic dark knight of FF. Goffard Gaffgarion from FFT, also a Dark Knight, charges into battle with sword and shield.
