An idea/suggestion to improve on housing as it currently stands (Plot Upgrades)

Hello all, this is my first time posting a thread here. ^^
I had a few ideas/suggestions that I thought wouldn't hurt to post here and I wanted to see what you all thought.
Forgive me also if this has been posted before.

As we know, currently we have small, medium and large houses.
This is my expansion on a topic that I know has been asked before and was rejected due to them saying they would have to change the housing districts and plot sizes.
What if we could upgrade the size of what would mainly be the interior instance of our houses instead of also the exterior? (where they say most of the limitations would lie)
My thinking goes as follows:

Small houses: The outside of the plot is what makes me think expanding it wouldn't work/make sense.
So instead I propose the idea of giving smalls an upstairs/attic area.
It would be the same size as the ground floor but also no outside editing would be needed as some roofs already showcase there could be an upstairs area to it.
This would be optional, of course and an upgrade option to pay for with gil.

Medium houses: I believe medium houses could make sense for a large house sized interior instance due to it's outside size.
You wouldn't have to edit the outside much to make sense, at least in my opinion.
The most you could do would be to add a balcony to it and it would still be fine.
But no garden item limit increase as the pay off.
This optional upgrade could cost as much as a large or about 30m to add onto the price you originally paid for this medium house. (larges at their most expensive, i believe are priced at 50m while mediums are 20m ^^)

I don't have anything special to add for large houses as I have personally never owned one.
But this was also honestly a suggestion to add on as large houses are quite rare to come by on a lot of servers.
I believe this could give so much more customization options for house owners and also make smalls and mediums more appealing in general.

Some alternative layouts including optional upgrade layouts would be nice, they could even make some to fit in with the smalls. Attics, expanding the basement in various directions, adding additional floors beneath the basement even!

Yes exactly! I think theres a lot that could potentially be done. ^^

I do find it weird that my Shirogane Castle Walls are like 5 stories tall, but I only have 2 stories plus the basement to work with. What's all that extra roof for? Lol.

I think mansions should get an attic space.

Yeah definitely. Be nice to have some alternative floor plans.

i also wish the house it self could be moved on the plot. rotated so we can choose a direction would be nice as well as choosing where on the plot the house is placed. i do like my medium but sometimes think itd be nice to rotate it 90 degrees for a better view

I do own a large house. It would be nice if our balcony doors were actually functional and that we could place things on it. It is rather annoying that I have to jump on the roof of my own house and play a platforming mini-game to gain access to my own balcony. Especially since theirs a door literally modeled outside and inside my house! Also, being able to place outdoor items like benches on the balcony would be a nice touch.

I'm also not crazy about this wooden screen that blocks my view of Shirogane and would love for it to be moddable somehow in the "remodel exterior" option. Adding a watchtower to the roof is mostly pointless, but the balcony I feel is more important for player creation. I guess it would be like the awning add-on?

As for interiors, it would be great if the Shirogane Castle actually came with an interior of 5 floors. Because it doesn't, I don't bother with it because the TARDIS effect just breaks immersion for me a bit.

I like the idea of attics or expanding on the basement some. I don't think I'd want anything actually as big as a large, but there is a bit of wiggle room yes. Of course, we'll need an item bump to go with it lol.

Swimming pools for houses and apartments. That's all

I just need more display slots for now.

Maybe have FC room feature for individual houses? That can give further room for creativity for different rooms.

These are all good suggestions and feedback, everyone! ^^
It would be nice to see at least some of these implemented ingame.

Smalls have already been expanded though...
