I want it, but flipped the other way around. I think it's exactly what I've been wanting for one of my characters (and the PVP style failed to deliver), but I need it to part on the right. ;_;

Would be nice if they released both variations of an asymmetrical hairstyle if they're not going to implement a flip option.

Please don't let it be locked behind lagos/pyros/saltos/turdos or whatever is next Eureka tier. ;_; /pray

I think it's from the new Lost Canals of Uznair.

Likely Golld Saucer or Uznair, since Pyros isn't being released until 4.45.

The one that will likely drop in Pyros is the other finalist, which has been spotted on an NPC but apparently isn't going to be released for 4.4. Ironically, the one hairstyle I truly want will be the hardest to obtain ingame (=A=;

Well, it’s from the Hairstyle contest, and all of those have been implemented in game. I’m guessing it will probably be the new Lost Canals if it drops with 4.4; if it drops later... Pyros. Sadly.

It doesn't actually look all that bad on a male character. This is definitely the sort of look that should be embraced for unisex hairstyles. It's hard to say what it'll be locked behind, though I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being Pyros.

Ah ok thanks for the reminder, I forgot about the contest part lol, teflon brain! If it goes for the same price as the Gyr Abanian plait on my server (average at around 2 million at the moment, and here's me hoping lol), quite affordable :)

With the new braid hairstyle being unisex, I highly doubt they'd go the gender-locked route with this new hairstyle.

Please no, I don't want any other emote or hairstyle EVER to be locked behind RNG, especially this one ,_,

I'm happy to grind for it, I'd grind MGP, Wolf Marks or any other currency as long as I could buy it directly for a specific amount. But I have no tolerance for random drops. In fact, I'd even buy it from MogStation in a heartbeat. I'm willing to spend my cash in the cash shop, I'm not willing to spend my time in Eureka.

I echo the sentiment, especially after three years of wanting that hairstyle for my main. The price for the current Pagos emote in the marketboard is outrageous, and I fear that a Pyros hairstyle would be much worse. I miss the times when we got new hairstyles straight in character creation ;_;

I really want this hairstyle for one of my alts, so I'm hoping it's MGP or Wolf Marks - basically just something accessible to a lower level character. I also think they should add more of the new stuff to the character creator, because it hurts to see these great new styles that I can't use on my retainers...

In my heart I wish that we would just get our hairstyles back into the list without needing to farm anything for that. (Mounts, pets, rolls are enough as drops)

My pessimistic side just sees at least one of them as part of some huge RNG grind in either the new Eureka part, or PVP or just some really rare drop of the canals.

It's possible this NPC will be added Tuesday with 4.4, but the hairstyle possibly won't be available to players until 4.5. They did something similar last patch with the HoH hairstyle. There were two NPCs that had the hairstyle in game before HoH was actually unlocked and players had access to get the hairstyle from the hoard.

That's just a guess though, as they've only shown the other hairstyle on the special site.

Consider that they revealed Typhon Mount as the new Gold Saucer MGP sink in the Preliminary notes... I'm going to assume that the first hairstyle is going to be Shifting Canals.

Get your body ready for it.

"Should a portal appear when opening a treasure coffer found using a gazelleskin treasure map, it will lead to either the Lost Canals of Uznair or the Shifting Altars of Uznair. The destination will be chosen at random."

So RNG for portal, RNG for correct portal, RNG for wheel spin, RNG for item in chest, RNG for lot!

Shifting Canals is 4.x content though and the hairstyle is marked as 2.x content
If it's not MGP reward then maybe it will just be added right into the character creation
