It would seem the jokes towards Alphinaud continue unabated even after he has repeatedly proven himself beyond all expectations.

Just wait till the he clocks around twenty summers old... naturally many people have forgotten (or didn't know) that Elezen youth have very stunted growth until they reach that age. This is because their lifespans are longer than the other races; thus, they age a little slower during puberty. After that, they sprout to over six feet plus in height.

It is indeed ironic that the OP is a Lalafell... Elezens do have this strange habit of punting Lalafells around once they attain their full height and maturity.

This is still FFXIV and not FFXI lol... I promise you, the Elezen look excellent in almost anything in this game. I would know... I was an Elezen from the every beginning until the Au Ra were released in Heavensward.

Plus, to be honest, when Alphy eventually grows up, I reckon there will still be a substantial queue of potential wifeys outside his door.

I went into the character creator to see if I could get something that looked like Alphinaud...turns out Elezen men get 3 different ages! Meanwhile women only get one.

No, I put him at 28 there because that is Haurchefant's face model, and Haurchefant happens to be 28. Estinien and Aymeric are similar (Aymeric is less gaunt) and older - about 32. For more examples, we can look at Emmanellain and Artoirel. Emmanellain is about 26 and still baby-faced, Artoirel is the same as Haurchefant. Francel, Haurchefant's friend who we ended up saving early on in ARR, is about 22, I think, and also baby-faced.

Correct on most of those ages - Artoirel is 30 though.

That sent me wondering how many other characters we can compare for ages, so I went looking through the lorebook, then cross-checked with their character data.

Primary conclusion: Face #2 gets used for just about everyone and any age.

Also I disagree that there's only one age-appearance for female Elezen. 1/2 looks youngest, then 4 is a little older, then 3 could be middle aged. never mind that it's also used for one of the youngest characters...

I can't believe you've done this, OP.

Looking at the poster again, I noticed that Alphinaud actually looks a lot closer in height to Maxima than he does in-game. From memory anyway.

But mostly I'm here because I was cleaning out my screenshots and found my attempt at "adult Alphinaud" and figured I'd post it. Better late than never? Plus bonus Alisaie!
