FNM and World NM

Just a quick question there might have been a post about it somewhere but...

Any info on whether or not the FNM gear and the World NM's and their drops are gonna be available post 2.0?

I know the Primals wont but havent seen anything regarding the FNM and WNM.

Any info is appreciated...

Not everyone knows the meaning of every three letter acronym.

On-topic, I'm sure if they don't include the current NMs in 2.0 they will have replacements, which will (likely) have the same drops. I don't think they want to make every pre-2.0 item exclusive to the "old" players. :)

Well the fact that the faction nm gear is in the achievement list its promising that they will include it post 2.0.

All of them are most likely to remain, including the Primals. What made you think the Primal will disappear in 2.0? After all, we are promised to be able to summon Primal, and a new character created would have never had any interaction in the first place with them.

Most likely depends on what they do between now and then in terms of NM and open world content. Hopefully they adapt the ZNM system from FFXI with changes.

This way even while it's open world they can instance it Leve style (monsters claimed to you/party) and allow point based acquisition of better gear to keep it on par at minimum with materia gear.

Primal Gears will stay, can you cite whichever source that they are exclusive pre 2.0? The only exclusivity for 2.0 is the Grand Company storyline and the mounts.

It was said that primals would be done differently for 2.0 so the current battles most likely would not exist. Weather or not that means the weapons from them wont be available any more was never said.
As for finding the source; It was a dev. response from quite a while ago and I don't feel like searching it xD

ZNMs were fun, sleeping a mob for a couple of hours to kake pics wasnt. If they could remove the need to take pics of the mob they yay for ZNMs.

They use to have a high level Peiste that roamed right outside of Ul'dah. I remember a certain podcast personality being snuffed by one while trying to mine a grade 1 node.

I would also like to see some source in regards to Primal gear not being available post 2.0.

I remember that thing, killed me so many times, we need this sort of thing to add to the sense of danger, peiste in Thanalian, the goobbue near Limsa, etc etc etc.

Kinda fun when I go to mine a node in nophica and get oneshotted when mosshorn pops on me :p

Completely off topic, but when I was on my way through Coerthas for the first time to do that cutscene at the windmill, I happened to see a big cool mob named Uraeus in the middle of the road.... :cool:

I do believe you might be right. The reason I was wondering this is simple...I am trying to see if its worth acquiring the Templar, Buccaneer, Harlequin sets as well as the world NM gear (silver tricorne, champion lance etc etc) for nostalgia purposes and the fact that after 2.0 it might not be available. Just to say "Yea I have those" I'd hate for 2.0 to come out and those items not be available anymore.
