Please make the "distraught lass" go away.

I don't wanna be a red mage with my current characters. But her appearance breaks my heart. Her facial expression is unpleasant.

There has got to be a way to make her disappear without becoming a red mage!

You'd wonder why they (SE) doesn't just hide sidequest NPC's that you're not the right level for yet.

Blue + quests are intentionally made visible before you can unlock them so you can see what level they unlock at, since they are feature unlock quests and not just regular side quests.

As for OP, you can just... not hang around that area or not zoom in to see their face.

Or just do that quest and never use Red Mage afterwards. Maybe even isn't necessary to finish it for her to disappear.

What do you have against red Mage -_-

I am just...all around confused what this complaint is truly about.

..what the hell? I'm more confused than the Alex storyline right now.

There's nothing confusing about it. There's an NPC he finds unpleasant. Said NPC is related to the RDM job quests, so the only way to make her go away is to complete the quest she's involved in.
To OP I say, just do that particular quest then throw away the rdm gear and never touch it again.

Just rescue the girl and never meet X'rhun Tia at the pub afterwards. You have to talk to him again to become a Red Mage.

Hold on..it just came to me. You mean the NPC that is at the tail end of the Ul'dah market, on the side of the map where barely anybody goes at all?

...you pick odd things to talk about.

So instead of just unlocking a job you literally never have to actually use once unlocked, you're prepared to either A.) hope and pray that SE will remove an important quest NPC they will probably never remove or change, or B.) have that quest stay in your current quests list indefinitely by never completing it after initiating it. Seems logical, captain...

Or you could you know. just start the rdm questline and then just never touch it after that. Like I did with lancer and archer :T
