Are there plans for old primal mounts to fly?

I know this is an old thread - but I'm hoping that it reaches the devs.

I understand that these are old primals and it's probably hard to since Kirin was "designed" to be exclusive with flying - hence receiving wings.

I was wondering if the primal ponies can be made to fly? They don't have to receive wings so Kirin is still "exclusive" but just for sake of use in flying areas?

I've had horrible RNG in getting the ponies and took at least 70 runs to get each pony and I would love to be able to use them again in the new map areas.

I would definitely like to fly Nightmare. That thing took me 2 years to get. I also really like Markab for it's music. I always liked Ramuh's theme.

It is kind of weird that even things like the marid can fly while the ponies and unicorns can't.

I agree old ponies must be able to fly but not without wings!...


The solution is to give them wings made of light but not like Kirin, instead they should be like the green pony from the Diadem or the black one from the PotD, in either case the wings should appear only when the ponies take flight and disappear on the ground!...


If SE makes them fly without wings I'll just consider it a half-a**ed attempt!...

I don't want them to have wings of light. Give them wings of their element, or a trail of their element (though maybe Boreas would clash with Fenrir there)

They were suppose to be given flight a good while ago. But it hasn't happened yet.

Yeah, I'm pretty miffed that they used time to make normal farm horses fly (the Grand Company horses) but magical, elemental based primal horses cannot fly??

I'm not seeing the technical issue really. Change the old code to the new code. done.

Same was brought up as soon as they announced the useless grand company horses were getting flight but not the primals. Which by the way the company horse just gets up and fly with no special effects and same generic theme. Still remains as one of my top 5 facepalm patch moments from this game.

they basically just have to copypaste the flying animtion from pegasus. the primal horses are using the same basic model, so the same animation should work here. yeah they don't have wings. but with all the glow and the elemantal animations they already have on their feet i can accept that these mounts can fly without wings: they are some kind of magic creature anyway so whatever.

but if they are getting wings i would prefer them in the way kirin has them: just some glow in the color of the horse.
