If this thread exists, then I apologize for the repost. So one thing I've noticed and would love to have in game for my avatar, be it from crafting, seasonal, even Mogstation if necessary, is a proper kimono. I know we've got a couple of the short yukatas from past Moonfire Faires, but I was hoping we'd be allowed to wear something longer like the NPCs in Kugane. Even Tataru wore one!
If you would also like to see these added, let's make our voices heard!

Isn't the i340 crafting or gathering top a kimono?

Yesterday I did the Custom Delivery quest for Kurenai where she and Hisui wore the same kimonos that Tataru wears on the picture you linked. Seems like they even are dyeable (and they seem to dye nicely too). The Hingan housing NPCs and other NPCs in the game also wear different ones and similar eastern themed clothing. And we can't have any of them...
I get that it probably looks weird on some classes like Monk because the kimonos are very tight around the legs. But we get so many clothes and hairstyles that clip into everything that it just doesn't matter anymore. It's my choice if I would want to wear a kimono on Monk even though it would look stupid with the animations. -

Yeah, it's nice that they've done it for DoH's new gear I suppose, but that still isn't equippable by all classes.
What about something more loose or open in the front like Yotsuyu's? It's free enough so she can lift her leg up and stomp on people.Quote:

Yeah, wouldn't work for a normal kimono, they fit too close to the legs and it would stretch horribly and look awful when you run. Something more open like Yotsuyu's though would be nice.

There's no real need for cashshop for a kimono execpt for yotsuyu which is 100% cashshop material, they simply need to make the crafter top glamourable bu other jobs, it's not something out of the ordinary, besides the clipping won't be worse than what robes have usually anyway

But could we also get a matching parasol glamour, too, if we can somehow make this happen? Honestly, it kind of makes me feel iffy every time I try wearing the whole initial gear set. Just ruins the whole...theme/emerge-thingy(?) for me. :/ -

It’s also possible that if the kimono model is non-functional but NPCs are wearing it and need to move around in cutscenes, they might just frame the shot so you can’t see their legs.

And while there is clipping with some gear since day one, this would be a whole new level of bad, particularly with melee classes. :P
But as around town glam, or for roleplayers, it still would be lovely to have a choice for it, plain ones like this and others with patterns and all dyable of course. :)
Id be happy even if they added ones like this for DoH/DoL rather than not ever see them at all.
