So yeah,9 run on ridorana, only saw 1 piece of gear for my job(im MNK), and a Brd got it,
9h + doing raid just to have your job loot getting stole by someone who its not even his job.
Who the fuck though it was a great idea to allow greed only ?.

In my last run the striking top dropped twice in a row and I don't even want it.
Yea, I got lucky on 2nd run and got the brd/mch chest piece. Sucks for people that have bad RNG (I usually do, too), but thankfully that was the only piece I needed/wanted out of it so now I'm on the once per week train til I get enough weaves.
Perhaps the bard also played monk? I went in as healer, but I rolled for a bard chest piece because I also main bard (and needed to up its ilvl to do more content). If he/she didn't even play monk, then the joke was more on them and less on you because you can only get one loot a week.
The point is if you're unlucky enough you can be rolling against seven other people for the same piece of gear and it's not even guaranteed to drop every time so you could end up not getting your loot in the lockout.
Last tier I almost didn't get my weekly loot because the piece I needed refused to drop until late monday night. If greed all was in the game back then I might have totally missed out on my weekly loot.
Greed all is little more than an unfair rng multiplier.
The greed/need stuff isn't anywhere near the real problem... It's the loot RNG... Last week I had to do 13 runs to get the tank legs on my second character.
At some point it should just give you the option to choose a piece of loot rather than lock you into doing it over and over until you see a drop...
Its related. The greed only makes the RNG loot even worse. You don't just have to see it drop, but have to win out against more people. You see more extremes now of not getting any loot for longer times. I don't know how they would think this is a good idea.
Oh look someone who thought it was a bright idea to make yet another thread on the first page about the same exact topic.
It's actually better to add your voice to the larger threads already here, they pay attention to the stuff with higher likes/attention. All these small threads are basically treated and ignored like spam lol.
For my 2 cents though: I agree, greed only kinda sucks. On the current raid at least you know if someone rolls on it, they need it for an alt job (because of the lockout, no one is going to roll on crap gear they don't need), but maaan does it suck trying to get your glams in the older raids!
Why do people believe that? The chances that every single other person in your party is wanting to spend their weekly lockout on the same piece of gear as you are not very high at all. At best you are rolling against 1 or 2 other people, which DPS were doing anyway in the N > G system.
I've seen gear drop to the floor more often than not, so the idea that 7 people want the same piece of gear as me at all times baffles me.
Because it is possible. It was impossible when we could roll need. The chances of dps rolling against more than three players was very small when we could roll need. Now there's a chance that anyone can end up rolling against up to seven players.
I'm not sure why it baffles you. Everyone has the same priority on loot therefore there is a possibility that everyone wants the same item. Basic math.
Until they change it back to how it was not running anymore 24man raids even if have it on my wt. All ready had very bad luck on rolls and now have every one else's rolls to worry about. No thanks.
