Gathering in Beast Tribes

Hi. I was wondering, now that we have the Namazu with a gathering option. Do you think that SE might add a gathering option for the Ixal and the Moogles?
I know it'd probably a lot of work but i think it might help for gatherers to have another way to level.

Exactly what help do gatherers need to level? Leves give an obscene amount of exp. I haven't even bothered touching collectibles and GC turn ins in forever, since they all level faster than I really need them to.

Honestly kinda wish the class quests wouldn't require HQ. Seems like I typically end up with half a level or more just grinding away waiting for the RNG to be nice enough to give me what I need.

Why not level with collectibles? You get lots of experience and red scrips for unlocking all the legendary nodes. Too many of my friends didn't do it that way and guess what they doing red scripts now to unlock the nodes.

Don't you get skills that increase your HQ chance? I have no problem to get HQ after lv 63.

Yes, a few require FSH or BTN, though for one reason or another they require you to be a DoH to even accept them.

The Ixal quests that had gathering were still for crafters. Just like most of the quests require a battle class (to go get loot from a monster), a few require gatherers (to go gather loot), but in both cases it's in order to use said special loot to then craft something.

I doubt they'll go back to add that. To be honest leveling gathering isn't as hard as leveling crafters. Even if all a person did was just gather (no collectables, no leves, nothing at all), it would still go by pretty fast because gathering something at-level in itself gives a good bit of experience. It would still be nice to have it, but adding quests requires development time, and most companies (SE included) don't feel old content is worth doing anything other than fixing bugs.

If anything I'd rather they expand the collectables thing so 10-50 can have it, too. That way you can do it whenever you want and aren't stuck waiting for dailies/leves/GC turn ins if you don't want to grind the same recipe/node repeatedly with a exp book on.

Yeah, the Ixal quests that require gathering only give a tiny amount of xp and that's just for the actual gathering (cus I think all the nodes and stuff you gather are like level 10 or something).
This was mainly for diversity of lvling. Also, I do kinda like the model of doing the beast tribes anyways. Just a quick little something you can do everyday (like Trials Roulette). But so far, I've literally just been gathering level appropriate nodes. It's not bad xp or anything but as I said, it's just a preference thing =)
But yeah, I am aware that this is very unlikely but I just wanted to kinda put it out there and see what everyone said.

Also, people have mentioned collectibles. How does this work? Is it the same as fisher where you turn on the collectible thingy, arrive at the right spot and hope for the best?

BTN and MIN collectibles are easier and far more certain. There's actually a rotation or two you can look up, though there is some rng still involved as they do have procs. The biggest thing to mind is that you need 600 GP, preferably 650, to reliably harvest the goods.

There's... kinda a lot of job quests between 15 (when they first start asking for HQ) and 63. On top of that are the HW quests that want HQ items that are hidden, another layer of rng.
