When will we see more of the Tataru & Wedge developement?

Its been hinted in the past how Wedge feels about Tataru... would love to see when devs could continue the work between them. I feel many people here would love to see our lil guy keep working the ability to go out and protect and woo Tataru some more. :)

Tataru may be a skilled business woman.. but she is still single and so far we have not seen any "rejections" to Wedge going after her. So yea, its about time now that a good chunk of SB MSQ is done to maybe start exploring the lil love life. Rejections to what? He never made a single solid attempt to be acknowledged either way.
I'd sooner see Tataru/Hancock.

I still remember that scene in the old 2.X where Tataru ran towards the Warrior of Light when WoL and gang (with Wedge in it) came to rescue her and the other Scions. She ignored poor Wedge and he looked dejected at the scene.

I had the headcanon she has a crush on the WoL, but it's unrequited.

That would be interesting.... Hancock vs Wedge for her affections...

This is how it'll go, chances are. Wedge thinks Tataru is into Hancock and recruits you in a series of sidequests to try and win her over, in the process trying to become a bit more business savy. He humiliates himself several times then gets a shining moment where Tataru acknowledges... how much he's contributed to the Scions' coffers and how better off they are. Wedge, in a fit of despair, acknowledges Hancock is the better man for her, to which Hancock laughs and shows his lack of interest while praising Tataru. Wedge remains alone but is motivated by Biggs not to lose hope before they pull another 3 all nighters on their next project to distract Wedge from it.

"Wedge" is one of the recurring names that gets used for a character in every(?) FF game. The fate of one shouldn't be a reason to expect anything to happen to another.

And no, having more character deaths does not magically make the story better! Occasional, well-done, meaningful deaths are fine and good, but not just for the sake of constant drama.

biggs and wedge are in most final fantasy games. It's a tribute to star wars

Biggs, Wedge, and Cid exist in almost every single Final Fantasy game in some form or another.

This is why for once in FF Series history.. would be nice to see Wedge not "lose" somehow. But actually have something going for his future. No offense to the devs, but I do not want to see another Papalymo style event... going down in a "blaze of glory". Need reasons to cheer in the game too and this could make an awesome continuing side story mission. Imagine if Wedges storyline like this.. could be the next Hildebrandt style. I think it would be a great diversion of fun and adds more personal bonding to the characters around. :)

Afterall.. They do keep mentioning his lil boiler thingy he invented and Tataru liked. :)

SE has no idea how to write a proper romance anyway. So many opportunities and they take the easy way out every time. If they DO happen to put something in, it will be one of those, "Yes we both feel very strongly for one another but due to the changing world it will be better if we remain apart so we can work on different tasks instead of tackling anything as a team," because apparently, that's how the jp managed to become a nation of 127m people.

While I'm all for romantic plotlines in the game (never cared for characters being forced to remain single for anyone's WoL ships), the relationship with Tataru and Wedge has always felt one-sided since I saw it. Wedge obviously has feelings for Tataru but Tataru has never once hinted that she felt the same about Wedge. Absence of rejection (especially when I'm not even sure she realizes the guy has romantic feelings for her) does not equate a romantic plot.

Whilst I would like to see this, I have no doubt whatsoever that we won't.

Only my observation/opinion - but the Devs seem pretty adverse to having any sort of romance occur between characters and evidence tends to suggest that they prefer the 'unrequited love' trope. Or at the very best, implied interest that we never see acted upon.

I'm actually trying to think whether or not even the married couples we encounter throughout the MSQ and/or sidequests actually show any affection toward each other and, other than Ameliance putting her arm around Fourchenault when the Ragnarok returned, nothing really springs to mind.

Oh no..you had to say this. Now all the weird ppl who think teens girls cant act certain ways without romance will appear. They were clearly good friends so people had to grasp at straws even reciting colors. No groups owns the rainbow. Hate that. It was a gross thread before that made me gag. People way to invested in teen girls.

I think they are afraid to actually establish relationships between named characters because that messes with some weirdos who are all like...NOOOO MY WAIFU/HUSBANDO IS TAKEN NOW! KILL THEM FOR TAKING MY WAIFU/HUSBANDO!

Oh and then death threats being sent to the writers or something. I'm sure that has happened a time or hundred.

The Chais are very affectionate to each other, but beyond that I think there's an outright lack of married couples to give us much show-or-lack of affection in the first place.

The only others I can think of are the Mandervilles, but I'm still avoiding that questline until I've run out of better things to do.
