Achievement pop-up

Anyone else getting the "Achievements in this area" pop-up every time they enter a new area? I can't for the life of me find a way to turn it off =/

The login achievement popup is also bad. It's unchecked, but still pops up every single login.

I don't want to see this Achievement banner every time I change areas. It's very distracting and deters me from gameplay. Please give us a toggle.

I also want to know how to turn them off, had to disable the notice icon in HUD settings for now.

So it does seem like the pop up during login can be disabled by enabling the option under Character Configuration -> UI Settings -> General Tab. Might be a bug.


However, the pop-up tab when zoning does not seem like it can be disabled. It is very annoying, considering it pops up every single time you enter a new zone, including a previously visited zone. Not having an option to disable it might have been an oversight by the development team. Unless of course we are all blind and can't find the option to do so.

I swear sometimes this dev team seems to have no clue what people want. How the hell thought that having a popup every time you enter an area was a good idea?

This needs to be hot-fixed or patched as soon as possible. This is beyond annoying and it's really taking away from game play having to stop and close the window every darn time I zone. Especially since I gather a lot I am constantly zoning for timed nodes.

asked the FC, it seems more people get the constant pop-up than those who closed the window once and never saw it again.
tried disabling/enabling it, logged out and back in the game it still didn't go away. hope it does get fixed soon.

That just makes the take-focus window change to a bubble in the lower right. It's an improvement, but still annoying.

The achievement pop-up is insanely annoying. Please, please, PLEEEEEEEEEEASE let us disable it.

I'm adding my voice and like to the OP's post. Please give us an option to turn this feature off....

The new green achievements notice must be made optional, it is a nuisance.

Yes, please,let us deactivate it... its not only annoying, it covers things I would like to use after a teleport without redesigning my whole UI

They did nothing with this sh1t in the last hot-fix, not even the log-in bug error, lol

I find it very annoying as well. Can't the achievement notice just be part of the 'Recommendations' menu? I'll use it when I need to see what achievement I want to go after rather than having it shoved at my face everytime I log in.

Help. It's making me want to complete achievements just to get it off my screen.

Jokes aside I also find this highly annoying and wish SE would just fix it already.

I'm an achievements guy but I'm surprised that there's no obvious way to disable these. What I really wanted for achievements was for them to get a new HUD element that allows you to pin a few achievements to the HUD and see your progress bars on them in realtime without having to click through a menu, exactly how the Duty List HUD keeps you updated on quests in your journal. And of course all HUD elements can be turned on and off.

It's always better to give people an option to "yes, i want it" or "no, i don't want it" instead of forcing it onto them, SE.

I'd like to disable the pop-up too.

Came here to add my voice to this as well...these login achievement pop up windows at login and the green changing zones one really gets under my skin. I thought I was crazy in that I couldn't find a way to turn it off! Nope...just a "feature" of the new patch. Please make it go away! I'm having 90s pop ups flashbacks!

The one on login will stop showing up if you check the box at the bottom it. (I don't remember what the checkbox is labeled as, except that it sounded weird and was not at all clear what it would do. The description doesn't sound anything like "don't show this again", but that's what it does.) It doesn't help with the notification box on changing zones, but at least that one's smaller than a window and goes away on its own after a little while.

I would like a way to disable this feature as well. I've never needed it and surely never found it convenient. Only a nuisance. This was not a great feature to begin with let alone forced onto users.

I click on it so many times while cycling through my windows on PS4 after an area change. Would love to just permanently dispose of that window at this point because of it's annoyance.

Still no way to effectively disable this. Why were these bloaty pop up spam even added? The only time we want to look at achievements near completion is if we already know what and where they are and how to find them (I.e., because we're specifically working on them already). And therefore we do not need these windows popping up everywhere.

Bumping this thread because we've been suffering for far too long.

This is one of those fights I've long since let go of. It's been almost a year now and honestly I don't even notice it any more. Until this thread came back up I had mostly forgotten it was even a thing. I'm just that used to ignoring it.

I will say I did find it somewhat useful as I progressed through SB, as a means of determining "Ok, which one is the big achievement FATE for this area?"

But otherwise, yeah, usually just tuned out.

YoshiP please let us have the option to remove it!!

Even with this thing disabled the window pops up on login, if it's enabled it'll be a notification. It's really annoying.

In 2023, I have never seen a game this hell bent on forcing achievements down your throat.

Of course it's showing up again on next login; you've unchecked Display achievements nearing completion as login notification.

Check that. Leave it on. Ignore the notification next time you log on.

So I know this probably late but if you go into system>hud settings>navigate drop-down to notices>hit cog on that and set transparency highest it can go>save and exit.

When you goto a new area the achievement notice will be barely visible. Like you physically have to look for it to see it.

Ok so in character configuration when you do ui and unchecked all boxes for reccomendations and playguide upon login, achievements would still show upon login. If you click the bottom of that pop-up to move to login it don't show anymore on login. I'm testing this stuff as I go but seems this fixes most stuff lol
