Should new eureka weapon be i380+?

We get it so late in the update cycle that 4.4's savage weapon will be around the corner.
The eureka 350 weapons will already be outdated compared to the mendacity ones and we just got those eureka ones last month.

This is a big problem

Why do eureka weapons need to be on par with savage weapons?

380 would take them beyond ultimate weapons lmao. If anything the relic will be taken to a max of 370 by 4.4, in the past it has never equalled the raid weapon until the end of the expansion.

^^This. The relic will continue to be average and won't be bis until the end of the cycle.

Considering the new trial's weapons will be 365 (I think)
The Eureka weapons may be bumped up to 365 as well. Probably 370 at most.
The Eureka gear will then follow either 360 or 365, as I doubt they'd make it 370 as well.

I don't think it'll go beyond Savage itemlevel as that will be the item level cap of this patch. Just now that we all can reach 370 (minus the weapon). IF they would go beyond the 370 that means that the Eureka weapons will be BiS for every job, no matter what (assuming they still have the 5 melding slots). Meaning that it's needed to get it done before patch 4.4 drops for World First and other people who want to do Savage when 4.4 hits.

So no, I think it should be either slightly below or equal to Savage-gear. Not beyond it.

We aren't getting "Eureka gear" if by that you mean armour, it was confirmed in the live letter that we're only upgrading weapons in Pagos.

No problem. If you ask me it makes sense given how long a gear set takes for them to develop (6 months or so iirc), so imagine them having to make 15 extra unique looking gear sets every other patch on top of dungeon/alliance raid/8 man raid sets.

That's understandable. I won't blame 'em but I slightly had my hopes up to finally have some shiny gear with neat little effects on them. Oh well, dreams are meant to be curshed in the end.

Right now:

Eureka Anemos - 355, 5 slots
Tome - 360
Tome+ - 370
Savage - 375

With patch content:

Eureka Anemos: 355, 5 slots
Tome: 360
Crafted+: 360
Tome+: 370
Savage: 375
Ultimate

That leaves the EX primal weapon, Heaven on high weapon and the relic. The EX weapon is probably 365 (available on patch), and maybe the heaven on high weapon (1 month delay), too. Relic is a toss up but since it has 5 slots I'm guessing it won't be higher than 370 at the high end for now.

If the apocalypse happens and the relic ends up at 380 with 5 slots the grind will be so bad most people probably won't finish it before the next patch comes out invalidating it anyways. The last time the relic hit raid weapon ilvl on a patch that wasn't end of expansion was the unidentified step (gordias) and we all know how that went.
