turns out the custom delivery isn't really tied to the doman reconstruction which apparently is it's own thing
I was honestly expecting Adkiragh to be the next custom delivery client with them having mentioned that they had something planned for him multiple times in the past, but I'm glad we'll get to do more at Sui-no-Sato.
As far as the Doman reconstruction thing goes, I'm wondering if it's going to be a collaborative effort from multiple players or just something that's meant to be chipped away at by dedicated DoL/H players.
I'll admit, the Doman reconstruction has peaked my interest. I need to start working on my DoH/DoL classes. This might be the patch that gets me to start taking it seriously.
Tbf I was expecting the custom delivery to be that girl in the enclave and the custom delivery was essentially the doman reconstruction thing. I guess this is a better solution for it, also it's good for DOH/DOL to get more content overall
Anyway let's not get too hasty, it might just be a turn in like the GC
Hmm...who all have custom deliveries? Honestly, I have not touched them at all, but then again, I barely have touched collectibles on my gatherers because I'm just so new to it. What do they do?
Zhloe in Idllyshire and M'naago in Rhalgr's Reach.
They are basically turn-in NPCs you either craft or gather specific items for. Certain vendors will sell you the necessary components to craft the things either want whereas you just have to gather what they ask. And that's listed in your Timer menu. As for what they offer, a ton of scrips and EXP each week.
Ah, I see, I see. Hmm...something to look into. Alright, thanks for the responses. Onward to the site, I wonder why a side story quest is being given a highlight. It's getting the Hildebrand treatment, so I wonder if this is something required to complete when we get the second of the Four Lords.
Lemme guess, the custom delivery story is about raising money for orphans.
would be odd since Sui-no-sato is so neutral.......
neutrals........the enemies? You know where they stand but the neutrals?
I am a bit sad that we just got another woman as the custom delivery NPC (And an Au Ra too x). Hopefuly future ones also include some males too.
The Doman reconstruction seems to be interesting. I hope that its a bit more than just giving it to them weekly and I also hope that there are some neat prices behind it.
I detected gold needles, cobalt ingots and some jade imperial rings in the list.
If I have to guess it's idd a weekly list of turn-in, to do what I have no clue, maybe it's a server effort to rebuild the place?, fill a quota and the place gets rebuild? Atm the weekly hypothesys seems to be the most likely one
Sadly until they release better photos I can't really decipher much more with my eyes, I have no idea what the 2 column on the right means for example
However I'm kinda seeing the word weekly's on the lower left near what should be a gil sum
Edit: Side note the jp blog has been updated with some incoming Qol ajdustments so keep an eye on that too
If I had to guess, it's going to be more about Kurenai deciding that it's in the best interests of Sui-no-sato to not be as closed off to the outside world and trying to improve their relations with the surface dwellers.
She expressed feeling rather enlightened at seeing that the outside world wasn't nearly as bad as she was led to believe and also some regret at not being able to properly repay the Confederates for their assistance in finding a cure for her friend.
All of that cobalt on my retainer from working on my Arm and Bsm luminaries--I was bored, so very bored, waiting for the new patch--is going to come in handy it seems.
I dare say the reason it's her and not the guy who actually runs Sui-no-Sato and would've made a lot more sense to take your deliveries from you is because of the dress-up element they introduced to this system. Do not enough people run custom deliveries that they need to offer an Au Ra waifu dress-up game to lure people in...?
Well, i was worried that the next deliveries would not be again someone cute. Now i am reassured :o
Is Genbu going to go into rage mode in order to prepare us for whats to come? big turtle primal? pls :}Quote:
"Though the Warrior of Light and his comrades managed to save the soul of Byakko, one of these ancient guardians, they are not yet ready to face the threat which looms on the horizon. And so the auspice Genbu considers a rather unorthodox training method... "
The warring triad series from heavensward had side story quests like this as well, and yes they were required to unlock the trials that came later. So while we won't have a four lords trial this patch, you'll want to have this quest completed so you're up to date when the next trial does come out.
Still waiting for a Lalafell or Roegadyn custom delivery NPC. Something different from the obvious Au'ra/Miqote.
They usually post high resolution images of the stuff in blogs/promotional websites here.
Here's the image of the Doman Reconstruction UI:

is that gratuity? So is that the amount required I guess?
Weekly budget: 20,000p...unique gil for this npc?
Ty for the link.
From what I can gather it seems to me that you can donate items to them up to a weekly cap, for something back?
I suppose the 900 thing is deducted from the 20k
edit: I think that the P is actually a G reversed so it could be gil
Just kinda looks like you're supplying them with materials to rebuild the enclave and they are paying you for your services. The weekly budget seems like a lockout, so you can't be paid more than 20000g per week (i.e you can't hand in more than 20000g worth of materials per week). The gratuity I think is indicative of that 120% at the top, so you're getting a bonus payment for whatever reason.
I think that's like an invoice, that we are providing them maybe? The budget is how much they have to spend, we likely have a list(larger than what's shown) of items that we can gather/craft, and then they end up giving us points/gil/whatever currency for what we supply. That's my thoughts based on that screen.
Gold Saucer duty finder, am I the only one excited for this? Please have high mgp rewards :D
The P sign there is the same symbol used when showing you the Gil cost for teleporting, I'm pretty sure.
It's literally just the symbol for gil. Since it's a budget, it's probably more like we are given 20k Gil towards developing whatever is on the list.
I'm sure that it'll be similar to what normally happens with end-game hubs such as mor dhona, Idyllshire, in past expansions where the village slowly builds up and adds more structures etc. Only this time we're playing an active role in the rebuilding. What remains to be seen is will we be able to fully rebuild it with this patch, or will it only be partially completed and they will add more in later patches.
Also wondering if it will eventually become an alternative hub to rhalgrs, complete with tome NPCs etc. Will the progress be specific to your character, or is it a server wide effort ?
Oh wow... seems nice!
Seems like the focus is on the crafting update.
But the DF for chocobo races (and that other game) is nice too. I always love an excuse not to have to port around. It'll give me something to do when someone in my raid static's late without having to move from being right next to the NPC mender for once we start :D.
Well, the game client certainly can certainly offer different maps with different levels of completion. That's what the Moogle Beast quests do, and also what the Vath quests do initially. Even the Ixal's beast quests change the ship they are building over time, but that's just a prop.
Mor Dhona was the exception, it actually changed between patches. If you pay attention to it (you can find screenshots of the 2.x versions) as the game world evolved, and changed it got bigger. So if players who started in 3.0 then didn't see these changes.
It's not entirely unreasonable to "zone off" the map and thus present different versions depending on the progress as well (they did this with Rhalgr's Reach and the house of the Fierce (latter adding a aetherye.)) I don't exactly know what SE does presently when they present different versions of the same map, seems ridicious that they would have a huge map and only change one tiny part of it, it's more likely the maps are divided into sub-maps, and just that submap tile is cosmetically changed (eg specific NPC's only appear with that version of the tile, other players don't see those NPC's unless they are also that far.)
