[Poll] If you had to choose...?

In Final Fantasy XIV, if you had to choose, which of the following would you want the dev team to add?

- A new Playable-Race that you wouldn't want to play as
- A new Job that you wouldn't want to play as
- A new Region in the open-world you wouldn't want to play in

Since I'm at work, I'll leave my vote in the forums:

I'd probably say more along the lines of Job I wouldn't want to play as.

I'd be torn between a new race or a new job to be honest. Just because I don't want to play either doesn't mean there aren't players who would enjoy them, and I'd still be interacting with players. A new region, well, that can be avoided easily enough. It's content I literally could never interact with in any form.

I say the new race. Nothing would force me to play that race, so let others who want it have it.

The class would be something I definitely would end up playing at some point(I mean, I have everything except crafters at 70 already...so yeah)

The new zone I would want because more to explore, more lore, more quests, more things.

If any of their reasoning behind why we can't have better customization is true (like separating aura horns and faces can't be done because character data), then I would actively hate them adding a new race instead of spending that character data on making existing characters better.

Adding a new job I don't want to play is probably not terrible but could be similarly annoying. It's tough to imagine a job I would have no interest in at all, though.

A new region is fine because I'll probably only have to play in it to level up and then it's out of my life forever, just like all the existing zones.

A race. Just because I'm bored seeing the same cat and lizard girls everywhere. At least thin the ranks a little bit.

If that's going to happen they'd have to add a fan favorite race like Viera. Then you can have cat, lizard, and bunny girls everywhere. Though if we're lucky they'd made female Viera more like male Au Ra. Give them a hulking Amazoness vibe. Maybe they'd make the males like female Au Ra; smaller and pretty-boy-ish.

I'd prefer content to play rather than yet more races/jobs. So I'd say the new area - it's bound to come with SOMETHING to do.

I think I'd spend all my time in game dropping my HP to Zero if they ever added that damned race.

I'm so confused I won't even vote. Let the electoral college decide this one.

I'd rather just choose whichever the most people would seem to enjoy, supposing each option was specifically defined in terms of what it's offering. Just because I'm losing out regardless of what's selected doesn't mean others shouldn't at least enjoy it.

If it’s all stuff I wouldn’t want to use, then I wouldn’t care what it is as it wouldn’t affect me.

I'm a toss up between new race or job. Since a new area implies content I wouldn't want development time wasted on content I would be unlikely to play.

If dad to choose I would probably start a new poll with things that are actually desirable in game that they can address right away rather than those we know would take a long time. Just as an example removing the 4 members needed at a workshop, raising tomes, multi lock boxes turn ins, multi-materia gobbie limitations to allow 100 and rather than individually choosing -.-/

Though, I'd pick a new race. I won't play it, but like people suggested, it'd be nice to have some variety. Seeing people playing these races will create a better space for diversity.

Job - i don't have to play it, i can play with other people who play it. like i don't really like playing Ninja but i like Trick Attack.

i don't see that as being evil at all.

Sorry did not think you could read tone. It was more of a suggestion. To each their own -.-/ Just playing race by the way if you want to make it simple for yourself. ( and your a Lala enough said )

*scratch head* well this poll make no sense, since with the expansion we will see new job and new area.... (the 5.0 will come next year)
the question is more do we want a new race or not?

another point, is not because you will not enjoy it, that some people can't enjoy this sort of stuff.

like they add pvp stuff, i don't like partake in pvp, but it's still worked on, do it bother me? nope. i can ignore it and do stuff that please me while people that love pvp will do stuff that please them.

The caveat being that if it's a race I wouldn't want to play - aka not Viera. : ^) Ivalice Moogles, Bangaa and Lupin are often requested races that I wouldn't even consider switching for, but would be a welcome sight.

Regardless, new race = less of the other races period.

Interesting question. I was initially undecided between a new race or a new job I wouldn't want to play as, but after some thought, I'd say a new race I wouldn't want to play as. I think we're pretty good in terms of job diversity at the moment. Adding a new race would thin out existing races a little, hopefully the over-represented ones especially.

If I wouldn't want to play the race, it's presumably because it's an eyesore. It doesn't stop being one just because it's not center-screen.

If I wouldn't want to play a job, it's presumably because it's a pain to work around in terms of comp or group CD syncs. It wouldn't stop being a pain just because I'm experiencing it from the view of syncing around it, rather than syncing it around the party.

So, I guess it's the map.

Why would i want the dev add something i wouldn't even want?

Well I would pick job I wouldn't play. I play SAM but I never touched RDM but it's nice seeing other people play RDM because they can give me Embolden. Clearly when it comes to new races SE can't make them look very unique from the ones we already have. I still remember the Au Ra concept art and then saw what we got in-game and wondered what happened during development.

i say a new job.

Race, for sure. It has no effect on people who don't want to play with it. Unlike new jobs, which can wildly skew balance and can make it much harder to play another job in high end content without getting complaints and even being removed from groups.

It took more than an entire expansion to get healer balance soemwhere good. I'm not overly excited about adding another one and needing to do that again.
