Need better chocobo music

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm tired of having to mute my volume every time i hop onto my chocobo. something more ff7 sounding would be better ;)

just listen to ff6 theme and yeah that would work for me :P anything is better then the crap it is now ;x

My primary concern with choco music is....its too loud! It was fine the first 5 times, but it gives me a headache now, especially when gathering since i have to mount / dismount all the time and listen to the initial trumpet ear splitting sound every single time.

Can see the issue here already, and there's only been 5 replies. No one can agree on anything, nobody ever will. Ilike the music now, myself. Don't want it to change personally though t is quite loud.

Actually, its probably not much louder then the rest of the music in game, just more triumphant, and noticable.

But yeah, I find the current music, though very good, is far to brash when you have to listen to it over and over again.

I love the chocobo music ^^

Though I don't dislike the current choco music per se, I've always felt that it was almost too... intense, maybe? The massive number of orchestral hits (in both themes) just doesn't make me think of travelling. It's hard to describe in words, lol. If you click the link from Zantetsuken, notice that most of the themes are more akin to elevator jazz (or of course there's FFV which has that quirky feel that really does kind of matches riding a giant yellow chicken). FFVIII, FFX, and FFXIII are the closest think to "intense" themes from other FF games, and the latter two are still basically elevator jazz, just louder and busier. The FFXIV music is kind of... not "passive" enough, perhaps, for music to get from A to B. It sounds more like a victory theme--what should play when I triumphantly ride my heavily-armoured chocobo from battle.

Either way, I don't dislike the music at present, so I'm okay with keeping it just the way it is.

maybe end music after 5 minutes? Like FFXI.

Lol, I actually prefer the Goobbue music rather than Chocobo. It's more reminiscent of Chrono Cross which I love. I just wish it didn't need for me to zoom out all the way so I could see anything >.> lol

I enjoy listening to my mount music too, regardless of the amount of time I spend on it.
Having the music end after 5 minutes would be far more annoying to me than people turning down their volume after 5 minutes. Also, isn't it a bit lazy to complain about turning down your volume, seriously?

there was another thread on this before, someone posted how to swap the choc music file with the rental music file since more people like it.

changing music mod would pretty pretty amazing :D
