My checkbox goes on "I'm going to roll greed on everything just so I can actually keep my sanity and get a drop now that need is no longer a thing"
It depends on what it looks like for my ninja, but i'll wait a bit to roll on stuff for my paladin.
I only bother getting alliance raid gear if I like how it looks.
We’re planning to set the loot rule for all alliance raids to “Greed Only” starting in Patch 4.3. - Stated by dev. as A main tank player I find that very discouraging since, how in the hell am I going to be able to get the gear I need for tanking. since everyone can just roll on it.. what are the perks for being a tank, people should just stop being lazy and play the class that they want gear for to get the loot. I hope that it doesnt go through.
Healer because I need to gear up my side character who only has that leveled. Which is going to be... Interesting given the changes they're trying to make.
A handful of friends and I intend to run the 24-man as a full premade Alliance of eight. We'll each call out a piece and go about it that way. I highly recommend people make premades. Although randoms can be hit or miss, weapon call outs for EX Primals have generally gone over well.
I mean you're right about that but Ilvl doesnt come close to me and my glamour and if it would go through il be forced to take extra more time on trying to be lucky since rng hates me, and as a solely tank player I will be forced to watch people who dont even aim to play to tank take my loot.
Whatever looks the best honestly.
Unless the gear looks good, none. I'll more then likely have most (if not all) the Anemos gear by then for all classes. Also, I'll be too busy running Swallow's Compass since that dungeon set looks amazing. And I can actually roll Need on it...
Just get what I can get, if I get.
With the new loot rule, just not going to bother running it more than once a week, if I can't have a decent chance against glamour rollers at getting what I want by going in with the respective job anymore.
With the new rules I will just roll on whatever, not going to bother running it more than once if I can help it.
None because as a raider, I have very little to get in the way of tomes.
I’m fortunate that I don’t need any alliance gear, however I will be gunning for healer since it’s my 3rd and it’ll fill in the void until my eventual savage books.
I'm waiting to see what the sets look like before I decide, so I can make an informed decision.
with the new greed only loot rules? none of them odds of me getting anything at all are too low to even bother
Probably 6-7 pieces, don't care about order. Which ones in specific depends on looks and what I want to replace in about a month.
Since HW I go about 3-6 times a week into the 24-man, don't see that changing. Never understood the "can't stand to run this more than once a week" mentality.
Almost like ppl hate doing such kind of content, while I kinda think it's one of the more fun ones (compared with other casual content, i.e. sigma normal, ex roulette).
Doesn't really matter. I will likely greed on everything, even if I cant use it since I will not run it more than once now. I can trade it for seals or desynth it eventually anyway.
The sample size is still small but right now it looks like gear for tanks, healers and casters will be the most desired both as a first choice and overall. It doesn't surprise me because those gear types work for 3 different jobs. It makes me wonder if other gear types should be combined in the future to make them more desirable, for example having a general Dexterity set (3 jobs) and a Strength set (3 jobs) for melee and ranged dps. Alternatively new jobs being introduced could share existing Dex/Str sets.
I also noticed that people want tank gear and healer gear almost equally as much, but currently there are a different number of party slots for those roles. If the loot system gets reverted to Need Before Greed, adding another party slots for tanks should be considered if the intention is to have people play the role they want loot for.
The amount of people voting they have no preference is lower than I thought it would be based on all the comments saying they'll greed on anything that drops. If one want's to avoid taking someone's favorite loot but still get that weekly desynth piece, rolling for the unwanted melee and ranged gear is a good option.
The average party based on the responses so far would have the following preferences:
1 person wants nothing in specific (rolling on everything?)
2 people want some kind of melee or ranged physical dps gear
1-2 people want caster gear
3-4 people want tank or healer gear
Bringing this poll to life again since we know what the gear looks like now and we can run the content.
