Not just limited to Eureka, but I HATE blind invites period to anything. I like to know what I'm getting into or be grouped with something I know I wanna do before clicking accept.
I hate it. If I wanted to be in a party I would SHOUT or have looking for party up. I'm in here for turning in crystals D; Leave me alone. I've had the same person invite me FIVE times, over and over.
Mixed, if I'm seeking for party I'm okay with them but If I'm turning crystals not that much. They could improve on the system imho to be called into a party you need to switch status, though while it could lead to problems with ppl not reading patch notes and all, we alone are responsible for our failings when infos are provided to us
I dont like it, I've been in the middle of cashing in boxes or trying to upgrade equipment etc and get random invites. Also had invites when trying to delevel (along with good Samaritans trying to rez me), or trying to form a low lev NM grind party. If i had my party flag up, thats one thing but don't just blind invite, at least send a tell first "hey, would you like to join the NM train?"
Hate it. Its inconsiderate.
I felt bad for declining once. I was just doing my lvl 17 magicite quest quickly and was gonna leave right after i finished it.
It's annoying. Not everyone is in Eureka to party up. I'm there sometimes just to turn in crystals or even just explore since I'm 20 now. If I want into a party, I'll shout for it or respond to someone else's shout. Otherwise leave me alone.
I think the "Looking for party" status exists for a reason
Don't care, just reject it, if I am in there to trade items and it keeps happening over and over again? Ill just let it sit so I do not have to keep hitting no as I trade in my stuff.
I never happen though since 90% of the time I enter with my SO, though I did enter a few times solo to trade in items, never got blind invites.
Even if I am looking for a party and get a blind invite? Id still reject it because I do not want people assuming I am there to do x only (like spawning paz) or I may be trying to get in a party with my SO. If lets say by chance someone blind invites me and I accept thinking it was the leader of the pt my SO is in, if it was the wrong party I simply say sorry this is not the party I'm looking for, and leave.
I feel the same as any blind invites : Immediate rejection.
Do not care who you are , do not care what you want and do not care if its important to you .
I don't really care because I'm usually looking for groups and only stop to turn in crystals when I have about 20 mins left on my timer (so people generally won't try an invite me anyways). If it bothers people, you can use the /busy status to stop the random invites.
Don't usually get blind invites because I'm in shout chat before I'm able to skip the cutscene. I did have a problem with a party not looking at wat kind of party I was looking for when I wanted to do wraiths once. It was a group of all lvl 4s so I just told them what wraiths are and left the party.
don't mind either way. if I'm just in to exchange crystals and get invites left and right, I just shout to let people know I'm not planning to join the train, thank you. it could get annoying tbh but it hasn't affected me as much, since when I do go in solo I usually plan on joining the train so the blind invite/s saves a bit of time and effort. but I think people should be more considerate and invite to the party people who are actually looking for one. a bit of etiquette goes a long way IMHO.
Put them on blacklist. They can no longer invite you.
It's rude and people should feel bad for doing it.
it can get annoying when your just in there to convert crystals and keep getting the pop up, other times I don't mind because it saves me the work of typing out a shout. So tis whatever, the trick is if you converting crystals and get invites just don't decline it and let the timer keep going and you wont get anymore invites.
I honestly don't care, they're helpful when I'm searching for something/wanna do something and I join a lot of the random party invites I get. I know some people hate them with a passion of a thousand suns for some reason but to each their own.
I don't care. Just as I don't expect people to get upset for abruptly disbanding or if I choose to ignore the invite.
Just like you cannot blacklist inside Eureka /busy also doesn't work after you've entered.
You would have to leave, put /busy on outside, then go back in unfortunately.
I don't like people blind inviting me either. If I wanted an invite I'd shout and I could put the party seeking flag on too. There is just no reason to blind invite, people who want a party will shout or actively seek one out.
I'd be fine somewhat if people only invited once then stopped when I declined, but I'll get the same people blind inviting me over and over and over no matter how many times I decline. There is just no reason for this crap.
It's just annoying especially when you are trying to click on something when it pops up.
It's nearly as bad as those scrub fc's that all send your alt random invite without saying a word to you prior to sending one.
I don't think I've ever received a blind invite in Eureka. But even if I did, I wouldn't accept. If I'm ready for a group I will give a /shout. Before, or after that, I'm clearly not ready.
It's kind of a creeper move
especially considering you can send a shout and be invited instantly
i am lvl 20 and tried to spawn the low lvl fates solo for a friend wich just started in eureka (he was killing some trash alone - thanks for the lvl synch feature SE...)
however, i got some blind invites, i think for pazuzu spawn partys i had no interest in. when i asked in shout chat that they please stop trying to invite me, people thought it was very funny to spam the party invite button on me...
yeah, i hate blind invites.
they're a little annoying when I'm not intending on staying long or am working with geralt
Indifferent. Most people are in Eureka for one of three things:
- Turning in crystals
- Is Pazuzu up?
- FATE train
Two are mutually exclusive. You generally know what you're getting into when you get a party invite in Eureka.
If I'm looking for a party, thanks to the party leader for taking initiative. If I'm not looking for a party, I'll decline.
Only if I get multiple invites from the same person will I get annoyed, since there's an obvious reason I'm declining in the first place.
I will admit this is actually the reason I blind invite in the first place. Trying to be the first to invite is almost futile. I got tired of always seeing "that player has already been invited " or "that player is already in a party". If you aren't quick enough your fledgling group of 3-5 starts to rupture and you're back to square one.
So, that's why I blind invite.
It's still annoying like it always was, but having struggled myself to try to invite people via their shouts (I swear some people just stay poised with their mouse cursor over the chat log ready to snag people the moment they pipe up), I understand why people do it. So I try not to raise a tizzy about it.
Eh, for the most part its a second of minor annoyance that can be easily fixed by clicking "no" on my part, but if the person is persistent I flat out tell them that im not interested and to please leave me alone.
Any worse responses after that warrant a blacklist/report depending on what is said or done, but it hasn't come up yet (and hopefully never will!)
Blind invites happen in Eureka?
If I’m just stopping in to deal with Gerolt, I would either just let it sit as that button and slowly time out, or accept and continue my business. They can kick me if they realize I’m not heading out to them before I leave, and if it upsets them, that’s the risk you take sending blind party invites.
Since I am already max level and has all the pazuzu feathers I need so I am down to help out with any group if I ever go back in there again
Depends on context. If someone runs by me while I'm solo'ing, and invites, I'll accept it. But if I can't find you, I'm going to spend 30 seconds trying to figure out where you are and then decline.
Some people are just bringing up the player list and inviting everyone until they have a party, and that's fine if all you care about is the train, but it's exceptionally annoying to players who JUST GOT THERE, and also exceptionally annoying to players who just want to do something quickly and leave. Hence if you're doing this, don't spam invites to anyone that has less than 60pm remaining (because you won't get to spawn any NM's with them), and don't spam invites to people who just go there in the first 15 minutes (to avoid annoying people who aren't there to farm anything.)
The ones who just got there are the ones most likely to want a party anyway. It's the people that have been in zone for a while but are still not in a party (and haven't been shouting for one) that most likely don't care to be in one -- they are getting gear / turning in boxes, screwing around solo, or whatever.Quote:

It was annoying in other MMOs that I played in the past, and it's still annoying here in Eureka.
